It really dosn't mean Either, On my stock motors I look for around 6-7 amps @1.5volts with a fan, If i get any more i will Rebuild it and narrow the brush intill i am around there for amps lowdoughracer 03-16-2007, 11:49 PM so without a fan what range would i be looking at? me21 03-17-2007, 12:08 AM no more then 6.5 lowdoughracer 03-17-2007, 12:16 AM k thanks. see ya at the track tommorow, or should i say today. lol. Jamie Hanson 03-17-2007, 01:28 AM Everyone views this differently. I judge a good stock motor on amp progression. At 2 volts without a fan I look for 7.5 to 8 amps. I then kick it up to 4 volts, no fan. and like to see about 10 to 10.5 amps. If the amps do not increase when the voltage does it normally means brush bounce. That kind of motor will not do well on the track. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
