View Full Version : Lowered AE Front End..

I have some old school Acossiated (part #4115) front end blocks that are lowered. I run them on my 12L4. They are trimmed enough that I can run CRC ProCuts down to the wheel. With brand new ProCuts I run about 2.5mm of shim.

**They have 3 deg of caster and 1 1/2 deg of camber milled into them.**

I've run this setup all winter and like how it feels. With this now, I don't need the caster/camber shims that are now all but extinct. I've done this mod for several other guys and they are very happy with it. Those guys run them on 12ls and just about every CRC car out there.

Also note, when I make these blocks they are held to a specific height. Pairs are not "matched". These will be very close package to package. Close enough that all will be interchangable. My fixtures are ground square and machining is done on a CNC machining center. I have been a machinist for 13 years. Making and using fixtures is my job. Trust me in these parts are quality.

A package will include all the screw hardware that comes with a stock set of arms.

The first pair of arms will be $13 shipped. Each additional pair will be $10.
PayPal is the preferred method of payment.

PM me for availiability and payment.

Big bump for this cool deal from sportpak. His precision milling corrects for all of AE's bad molding, resets castor and camber, and lowers the arms so you can run smaller tires on the old school front end. Simply a must for 12th. Ben is a super honest and nice guy. Grab up a set and see what I'm talking about.

They work. Perfect solution for Associateds lack of desire to make 2 degree shims. not to mention the ride height lowering.

Bump..I still have some left.

I'm willing to trade brand new arms for machined arms at a reduced cost if anybody is sitting on some spares and would like to try them. PM me for some more details.

I have to mill the top to make the top parallel to the bottom. The molding isn't the best, so I mill the top to give myself a true surface to go off of. Both sides end up with negative camber. Would it help if I posted pictures of my car, clearly showing the kingpins?

briano72, I sent you a pm with a little more detail.

Would it be possible to mill left reverse camber from the right for Oval guys.

I haven't done much experimentation with oval. It would be hard to have different casters and whacky cambers and maintain a level ride height. I could easily mill some flat and lowered if sombody had the shims to dial in what they needed. If anybody has a question about a particular setup you'd like, feel free to run it by me. I'm always up for learning/trying something.
