They sure got some miles out of that old #4 Dodge Stake Truck.
Must be the only one starting life as a regular wheels to get this kind of usage.

And cut costs by deleting the 3rd axle, which by the looks of the rw casting, was a bonus which could have been dropped right back in the original design stage.
There are 2 other regular wheels castings to stay in production through the 1980s, the 43 Horsebox and the 40 Hay trailer

Man those bring back some memories! I know of where a few of those cars are at today :) although, loose and showing some good wear, hah.
