I would like to use my GFX to cycle my batteries to make sure they are still ok. What parameters should I use (charge at 6.0 and discharge at 35 down to .9?)and what numbers should I expect for a 4 cell pack? Any thoughts or experiences in this would be appreciated. Thanks. Bob

2 peak charge
6.0 amp 1st peak
.02 peak detect
120 sec delay
6.0 amp 2nd peak
.02 peak detect
15 sec delay
35 amp discharge to 3.60 [even though they tell us not to}
this is pretty close to most matchers spec to compare label #'s

So then the average pack voltage should be close to the sum of the average voltage listed on each cell?

2 peak charge
6.0 amp 1st peak
.02 peak detect
120 sec delay
6.0 amp 2nd peak
.01 peak detect
15 sec delay
35 amp discharge to 3.60

That's what I recommend.

Steve.

What cells are being discussed, 3800, 4200, 4200wc or does it matter?

4200WC's are what I was referring to.

When you look at the numbers pay the most attention to the voltage at 300 seconds and IR. My assumption is you aren't racing mod. If you are then runtime as well.

I am doing .02 on first peak at 6.0 amps and it seems like they get hotter than what I would expect. I cannot tell you exactly what temp but they seem very warm. I am new to the NIMH worl but they seem quite a bit warmer than my Nicads back in the day. Any thoughts?
