Well I got the bug & went out to run my sprint alittle to get the cobwebs out of the exhaust. I went around the first turn and the axle broke on the RR. What axle material are some of the other Sprinters running. I think this was the stock axle material. I thought of going to titanium front and rear anyone see a problem with doing this ??

Well good luck with finding a titanium rod .500 turn it down to .497-8 and be able to get in small quantity.
If you have a early WCM then his axles was 6061 alloy aluminum. if you go to a 7071 alloy like his newer ones then you should be ok. I run .500 OD with .083 wall 4130 chromoly axle in mine. Same as my front axle is made of. If you have trouble finding this in small quantity let us know we will cut to length and lathe clean up each end. www.customfabrications-texas.com As far as why it broke There is a fatigue factor with aluminum it might have just been time.

I have a reasonable priced source for small quantity 7071 aluminum .500 if you would rather www.customfabrications-texas.com As far as the front WCM axle, to finish first, first you have to finish. Go 4130 chromoly tig welded throw the component alluminum axle in the scrap bin.
