It's about ... Human Rabbits ... and Poland ... and "The Loco-Motion". It's got Harry Dean Stanton in it. It's shot on home video. And it's three hours long. Go see it. I freakin' dare you.

Mentally, you picture my dog, but I have not told you the type of dog which I have. Perhaps you even picture Toto, from "The Wizard of Oz." But I warn you, my dog is always with me. Qapla' SSB Carson Dyle 03-12-2007, 01:40 PM Lynch recently published a book on his creative process. I'm currently listening to the audio version (read by the author), which manages to be both funny and enlightening. I haven't seen Inland Empire, but I'm certainly looking forward to it. Say what you will about Lynch's films; the man's an Artist with a capital "A." Zorro 03-12-2007, 02:26 PM I haven't seen Inland Empire, but I'm certainly looking forward to it. Say what you will about Lynch's films; the man's an Artist with a capital "A." Oh, no doubt. I consider myself to be a major Lynch fan, but I have to admit that I found Inland Empire to be a pretty hard slog. It's not for the weak-willed or uncommited. Mulholland Drive is the apogee of coherent linear narrative by comparison. Griffworks 03-12-2007, 03:13 PM Oh, man... That means I'd likely never figure this one out if it's worse than Mulholland Drive! I'm still trying to piece all the parts of that one together in to something coherent, tho I think I know what Lynch was getting at. Maybe.... :freak: yamahog 03-14-2007, 12:41 AM Lynch is in my top 5 of faves. I'll be checkin' this out. PhilipMarlowe 03-14-2007, 08:24 AM It's shot on home video. And it's three hours long. I hear there's a 3 1/2 hour Rosie O'Donnel tape floating around out there. yamahog 03-14-2007, 10:54 AM Dag, Scott, and I just had breakfast, too. --Hawg Sgt Wilco 03-14-2007, 06:06 PM Philip - you're in luck. I hear there's a 3 1/2 hour Rosie O'Donnel tape floating around out there. That was PERFECT!!! Rosie O'Donnell is, in my opinion, the new gold-standard of 'unattractive' no less than Peter O'Toole was once the gold-standard of inebriation. Whenever things go HORRIBLY wrong and I have to brief my crew chiefs in language they understand... I tell them, "It's going to be ugly, kids." "How ugly, Sarge?" they ask. "Rosie-O'Donnell-In-A-Thong Ugly," I reply. They get the picture immediately, and I have their undivided attention. ---Da Sarge gruffydd 03-16-2007, 02:36 PM "It's O - K."
