my dad just bought this car and when it starts it idles way too fast.he thought choke but when i looked at it the throttle shaft was not even engaging the adjustment screw. i took the choke bimetal spring assembly off and manually moved the choke to the off position and then it would go all the way to the stop. i also noticed the throttle shaft moving horiizontaly in and out of the carb body when the accelerator was depressed. looks like a real bear to get that carb off. any help would be appreciated. thanks :confused:
