Nah, I'm alright w/that and know what it means. Just not sure what he's on about w/the "hissiness" over yonder that he's talkin' 'bout. Basically, "what hissiness and over where" is sort of what I was meaning. :)

re: the hissy, pant-wadded post over in the other folder about how this forum mysteriously (and I quote) "sucks." That's all.

And no, I'm not a redneck, hillbilly nor hick - "briars," locally - tho I do have to work with them every day of the week. Sometimes it rubs off. Like fungus (an actual incident recently).

Shoulda said "Alice: The Motion Picture." Wouldn't have been any less funny, or more funny. Both're kinda "eh."

OK Still had no clue what you were on about, so started looking in other forums here in the Modeling section of HT. Found the thread - "Attn. All Models" - read what the TROLL wrote and then BANNED him.

Is that more gooder? :)

BTW: you're the only non-Britisher I've ever seen who uses "on" the way you do. Just an obs.

I could see Sarah Siverman doing it.I assume you mean Mary Richards’ friend Rhoda, a.k.a. Valerie Harper? Yeah, Sarah Silverman would fit the role — unless she's too Jewish. :p

Reminds me of a joke that made the rounds back in the ’70s, when it seemed EVERY sitcom was spinning off other sitcoms. Y’see, rumor had it that MTM Productions’ latest show was going to be called Carlton the Doorman.Shoulda said "Alice: The Motion Picture." Wouldn't have been any less funny, or more funny. The TV series Alice WAS based on a motion picture. Anyone remember Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, starring Ellen Burstyn? Some of us have short memories, I guess . . .

I think that was James Brooks but I could be wrong. But it was one of those guys (the definitive stand that I take).

My Rhoda Movie Fantasy:

Barbra Streisand will do the movie, star and direct, natch, a musical. The trials of an older Rhoda.

Dianne Wieizt will be the neurotic sister Brenda.

Dr. Ruth Westheimer will take over the Nancy Walker role of Rhoda's mother.

Tom Jones will play the love interest and husband Joe.

Oh, THAT Rhoda.

I remember watching a few of the Mary Tyler Moore Show episodes when they were originally on, but to me, she will always be Laura Petrie. Rhoda I don't think I ever saw in it's spinoff form. I was always working when most of that stuff was on, anyway, so I just didn't make the direct connection with the Valerie Harper character.

In other news, there appears to be some kinda Rhoda devotee online at Youtube. No, really.

It's a sign. The Four Horsemen won't be long now

And she's become rather hard of hearing in recent years. Some of her friends call her Deaf Rhoda Palehorse.

THanks for that, you are pretty darned hilarious. JohnP, to this day I'll never forget your post way back when about a plane you built and hung from the ceiling and never liked and were never satisfied with and you punched it off the ceiling into "a kit again". I don't know why but I laughed so so hard at that one.

A fond memory, It was a Lindbergh B-17, which I built in honor a this adorable blonde named Donna I went to high school with. She was always lusting after my friend Ed, and he was only mildly interested. I named it "The Reluctant Virgin."
