I bought a copy of windows XP Pro that was supposed to come with SP2. Well SP2 is on a different disk, although the disk is blank.

Once i get it installed I can't get it to update properly. I get errors and it suggestions I install SP2.

I can't get SP2 to install.

Question

I have a copy of Home with SP2. If I installed that, then put in the Pro disc and did an install of that would I keep SP2, or would it get erased?

Any other thoughts?

you can download SP2 from the microsoft website. install xp pro, then go straight to www.windowsupdate.com and download it.
