Ok I am transitioning from spec oval to modified class do you think this is a good setup

Hyperdrive 0700 chassis
Novak 4300 Brushless and speed control for 4 cell
Batteries will be 4200mAh NiHD
Spur 100 tooth
Pinion 38 tooth

We have a small oval track

Any suggestions?

If your going to run a modified class you need something like a 5.5. 4300 is more like a fast 19t.

What tires are you running?

Have not decided on tires the track champ and the track owber are both running the 4300 and stomping everyone

Gunlocator, perhaps your use of the term "mod" is not clear to everone. Last week I ran mod at our track, I ran a 6 double brushed motor. Some tracks
limit mod to 19T brushed. If 19T mod is the class, yes 4300's could run around the same speed, but a fast guy is a fast guy, it will not matter much if they run 19 or 4300, they will be fast.
