Hollis,
As of right now we are not working friday so I should be there fairly early.

As for Indy and Columbus, I won't know until closer to that time.

oval is for about anything. seen electric 1/18ths putting around on it to nitro monster trucks. just make sure it has some suspension on it. the track record holder for it in electric truck i believe has more of an offroad set up than an oval...ask stalker or stateline about that for sure though.

Stateline R/C
07-18-2007, 10:08 PM
gas and elet 10th scale trucks race on fri nights and they are OPEN classes we have been getting a few 1/8th scale buggys and we will run whatever else shows up with 3 or more in a class, and yes an off road setup works very well.

This place is a top notch facility. Both the offroad and oval track are sweet! If you're anywhere near this track and love racing it's you should definately check it out. Had tons of fun there for the ftms race!!

they have 2 tracks 1 on either side of the drivers stand. most saturdays they race 1/8th scale nitros (all but 2 i think all race year) and oval on friday nights. very big very nice kept track for any scale be it 10th or 1/8th. the buggy of choice among the experienced racers is the losi 8ight but 3 other buggies that do well there are jammin's, mugen mbx5R and hyper8. advantage to the mugen imo its easier to drive for a begineer but all can be driven well by begineers with practice. advantage to the losi will be parts avalibility as long as the shops can get parts (its the main buggy the shops stock parts for) all take the same tires and rims and engines. having started last year getting the best engines and so forth isnt really needed as a really strong engine with more tuning options just gives you more to worry about and too much power just makes it that much more likely to wreck(so i would nt worry about that until you have a good driving tuning and maintanance routine down). you must be in the habit of checking things like clutch bearings (taking them apart) as just spinning them to make sure they are free isnt good enough as it will give the car attitude unwanted in the air, and a little extra bog off of the corners if a bearing is damaged. im still learning myself, it can be really frustrating but at the same time alot more fun than electric. there are also plenty of people to help out with questions and problems.

i have a starter box (ofna chrome top with 12v battery) i would sell for 35 and a used bf 21 nova engine and dented 86 pipe i would sell for 35.
