Kevin, how is the points races going to work out. are they going to be for all classes. and dates set for them at this time? going to be 1 weekend a month?is SCLM going to be a open class only has to be a sct with a 1/8 scale body, are tires going to be unlimited or limited, no motor limit and no brakeout times.

think that Kevin was going to have the sclm's run with short course tires. open motor no side dam. but that was a couple days ago.

OK... the races are twice a month in June,July, and Aug. The last in Sept. We will get a better feel for classes after we have some races and see you what everyone is running this year. The SCLM class is stock tub chassis batt in the center, SC tires 2s lipo, we will run them with no sides and see how they do. Points races don't start untilled June so we will have plenty of time to get everything figured out. Dates are posted in the dirt oval thread and in the 2012 summer dates thread. It will be the best 5 of 7 races.

Everyone that came out today had a great time, weather held out and track was getting faster as day played on. Layout was one of the best ideas used so far, center crossover was cool and not a single contact there all day. Everyone that didn't make it missed out.

So we can drop by any day and turn laps? I assume this goes for off road as well?
Ive been trying to get back into racing but haven't found a track with a practice schedule that works with mine. Open any day all day practice is a thing of beauty!

Wonderful! Ill drive a few miles to get some track time on my schedule vs trying to make scheduled practices on someone else's. Drop box is easy to locate I assume? Pretty cool deal, I buy a lot of wood for my bbq smoker from a guy who has an honesty box for his regulars. Works great for everyone.

There should be nitro racing at the TNT race on 5/26 as well as the King of Kings race at the end of June. The recommended tires for 1/8th scale at Stateline would be a small pin tire in soft/super soft compound, like M3 Holeshorts.

For more nitro racing, check out the Michigan State Championship Series on FB or at www.michstatechampseries.com. That series will make a stop at Stateline in August, but will be racing elsewhere before that.

Kevin has announced on FB that the first TNT race (next weekend) will be open to all classes, including nitro.

I'll be there for nitro buggy.

As for tires it depends on the turnout and how the track reacts.

But the safe bets are..

Aka impacts or similar in soft or super soft.
I've had pretty good luck with anything with a medium sized lug in soft or super soft.

If the track grooves- Grid Irons, switches, DD's or holeshots all in soft or super soft.

FROM THE BLOG ON THE STATELINE SITE: "BREAKING NEWS! May 26th is the first race on the big track... and the first race in the TNT series. BUT, since it is the holiday weekend, and it's also Chloe and Kevin's birthday, the racing is being opened to ALL CLASSES! That's right.... nitro, electric, tenth scale, eighth scale.... strap a LIPO to the kitchen sink! We will still count the points for the TNT series. Hope to see you all next Saturday!"

Kevin - What time does the racing start????
