I am in San Diego and as of yet found no diecast cars worth buying , seems very scarce here

I agree, San Diego is awful for the diecast collector. Considering this city's size (almost 4 million), one would expect the stores to be better stocked... but they are not and most look like they have been overrun by third world kids with the shelves left a complete mess.... In fact, I found most stores in piddyl Utah to be cleaner and much better stocked....

you are in my original home town of San Diego. Sounds like you are on vacation. Forget the cars, get out and have some fun! That is the greatest city in the world!!!
