View Full Version : Tyco '40 Ford Coupe Convertible - done (Finally!)
WesJY 03-02-2007, 02:25 AM I finally got it done - it was in my drawer for like a year so i finally got around to it. it was a tyco ford coupe body with top smashed in - took top off and this is my first time doing a custom convertible job. I dont think i ever see a tyco version.. tell me what you think. i need a full body driver to fit in there i dont have any..
Now i have a new project on afx ford model a body... i am having hard time with it to fit on tyco chassis but getting there so stay tuned.. :)

That's a pretty smooth 'vert Wes. Nicely done. Where'd you steal the wheels and groovy white walls? Are they silicones? Me want! BH

the rims were from the set mattel "cars" and the tires were from johnny lightening diecast same as the bucket seats too.

GB, Great idea! I know Preiser makes the guy sitting on bench reading the newspaper. Cut off the newspaper, insert steering wheel, and glue his butt into that ford. Varoooom !

it was from 1/64 johnny lightening diescast kit where you put together 34 and 37 ford you know? it was in my little toolbox i forgot about.. it fit in perfect with expoxy glue all around then sand it .. etc..

Your choice of colour and the wheel tire combo is perfect!
