ive got my pro 3 apart and want to know how to wetsand the chassis so it looks like new again... what sand paper grits to i use start to finish.

600 or 800 then 1000 then shoot it with some clear coat

would this repair scratches on a chassis?

the light ones yes it will. i did a L4 chassis a few years back it was pretty beat up from running asphalt and had lots of scratches on it. the only ones that didn't come out were the real deep ones.

What do you recommend for clear coat?

Find a clear that will stay flexable, otherwise you will be stiffening up the chassis. Go to your local auto parts store that sells professional auto body supplies, they will set you in the right direction.

Also make sure that you sand in the same direction for all grits you use.

Wear Gloves and breathing protection when sanding graphite,just a Little Graphite dust can be real BAD for your health.
