Interesting to see the Mercury wagon variations given what we already know about the gas tank flap being on some castings but not others for this issue.
With the regualr wheels, superfast and police issues taken into account do these variations appear both with and without the gas tank flap (which means both left and right sides of the tool) or only one option (only 1 side of the tool)???

the models i have with the gas flap have the smaller hood lines and without the gas flap have the larger hood lines.

also a little difference with the #62 sf cougar base plate.
the word superfast in the top model is on top of two slash lines with larger lettering on base plate and the word on the bottom model is on top of one slash line with smaller letteringon base plate. also the wheel humps are different sizes
