what is 4 cell 1600 battery ?? is that legands ??

and you need to add teh 13.5 class we are starting here in a few weeks.

gtb esc for brush or brushless 25.00 more than ss brush only.
someone want to spend my money better think about what the costs are first.
why would i need 2 esc ss and a gtb when one will do it all and save 150.00
i know the hobby shops love the sales but where you going to find the people to pay these prices.??????

What motors are the 6 cell sedan Nastruck class going to run?

Mike@SteelCity
02-27-2007, 10:41 PM
We are using BRL as a reference for Brushless per our spec listed above. Specificly I (or someone) will get you an answer. As far as the ARCOR Brushless Nats - we have to abide to all their rules for thier race. This is a SCH race where we use references such as ARCOR and BRL. Hope that helps for now.

What about an S/K class?
AND the BIGGEST question........ are GTB's legal for brushless spec? Arcor rules say no, track rules so no unless your already running one, but have to have SS for next race season?

Mike@SteelCity

Stock Monster motor by Trinity!

Mike@SteelCity

That would be under OPTION - if you read closely - this is where the optional classes will be as I could not add more than 10 points to the poll!
MR

Absolutly no li-po batteries. Specifics such as these will be listed on the SCH website: www.steelcityhobbies.com - in the near future. General rules are referenced from BRL (Brushless) and ARCOR.

As far as 13.5 Brushless - IF there are enough entries to any specific class, we will review and run it. This is stated in the instructions already. :)

We are planning on picking up a few motor jigs for the brushed motors to check for motors that are not to spec.

how about a 13.5 brushless with li-po batteries nastruck.

Brushless Can Not Be Modified.
Li-pos Are The Best You Can Do.
Just Imagine Charging 2 Batteries At Home. Just To Be Safe One Would Work For The Complete Race. Why Not Li-po. Sure Would Make Racing Alot Simpler

it does sound great, and ill be enjoying it when it happens, but its probably gonna be a while for it to happen here. they do run helicopters there with em in it, so i dont fully understand why its a big deal, but again, we car racers tend to push the level of everything we get so..............have you ran the 13.5 and a 7.4 yet ?? its gotta be ballistick !! if you have what was the runline of the track ? we are 155 i was just told.

BIGKAHUNA

Come On. We Need Li-po Fellow Racers.
Li-pos Are Cheaper Also If You Put All The Equipment Needed For Ni-mh
Chargers 2 Of Them 150.00 Ea 300.00 Total Plus Discharger 40.00 To 150.00
4 Battery Packs Good Ones 50.00 Plus 200.00 Total....
Good For 50 To 100 Charges. Times 10 = 2000.00 To Equal Li-po
Li-pos 1000 Times Charged 85.00
Now You Know Why They Do Not Want Li-po Batteries.
Orion Batteries Are Incased In Plastic. You Have To Know How To Read And You Will Have No Problem When Charging Li-pos.
The Batteries With No Plastic Case Can Get Damaged And Be A Problem.
Voice Your Opinion Fellow Racers. Do You Love To Spend Money?????

im also going to be doing a "roll call" thread this weekend, like i did for the thanksgiving race, so if you guys want to start putting your full names, what state you are from, and what class. dont be shy, and dont forget, mike really could not list all the classes in teh poll, but i will list whatever you tell me you got or want to run, and if there is 5, your in !!

and those of you already in the "poll" that dont know me, i dont know you, so please list your names.

Welcome aboard!

We are recommending the Trinity Monster Stock motor for all stock classes.

Great questions... we hope to have a detail page up within a week to field most of your questions, etc... At the shop we have most of these questions in mind already as we are compiling a data spec sheet.

Classes Lastly, we are trying to stick to the 10 to 12 range for classes as obviously there is not enough time in the day to run too many classes! If there is a large showing for a particular class that we can't run - we can run a state champs in the summer for those specialty promoters classes.

Never been there before. Looking to make this event. I also ask, is it any stock motor?

Hey Mike, what about splitting the Nats. into seperate weekends oval one week onroad the next. I don't think there is going to be many onroad guys that want to wait for all the oval racing to get done and the oval guys don't like the track to be changed around during race day. I think Tony and I have been the only ones running both the last couple of weeks. Just a thought, Brett

If its not going to be hand outs for stock, I think it should be any legal stock motor. I know I'm not going to buy any motors to race one race.

It says the Monster is recommended, its doesn't say you can't run a different legal stock motor.

You can call the store and they will send one to you! They have them in stock now. This is 2006 combo - both oval and on-road. 2007 will be out in a few weeks.

Soon you will be able to buy one from our website - but you can simply call now and you will have it in a few days.

Thanks for the interest!
