"Miller: Sin 2 Is Ready To Go

Frank Miller, who wrote and co-directed Sin City based on his popular graphic novels, told SCI FI Wire that Sin City 2 is a go and that he hopes to be in Texas to shoot the film by late spring. Miller and Robert Rodriguez will again share directing duties on the sequel.

"The script is largely done, and now we're in that limbo zone where we're casting and making script adjustments as we go," Miller said in an interview while promoting 300, which he executive-produced and which is also based on one of his graphic novels.

Miller added that the sequel will be based on A Dame to Kill for, the second Sin City tale and a prequel to The Hard Goodbye, which was the basis of one of the first film's storylines. The sequel will also deal with "a couple of old stories and one brand-new one," Miller said. "The old ones are a couple of 'Blue Eyes' stories, and there's an 'Old Town Girls' story, and the new one features Nancy Callahan [played by Jessica Alba] in a very different, very scary role. I'm hoping we'll start in late spring. It gets pretty hot in Austin, so there might be a summer's interruption there, but both Robert and I really want to be shooting this thing as soon as possible."

I know A Dame to Kill For is a good story, with Marv, Dwight, Nancy[?], Manute. I read they want Angelina Jolie for the dame.

Go Marv.

I say , this time, the director owes us at least a topless shot of Jessica Alba

Speaking of comic book/ graphic novels that have been brought to film, few, in my opinon, get it right. Spiderman I & II were excellent examples of getting the comic book look right. Dick Tracy & The Hulk was a crappy movie but the look was right. Superman, Batman, Daredevil, etc... on and on, for some reason don't suit me. I don't know what it is.

Sin City is the best example, though. I felt like I was turning pages and looking at art! I hope its as good as the first. I'm counting the days for "300" and plan on being there for the opening show!!

Get ready for 300. They are matching shots to the panels from the GN. I look for 300 to be one of my all time favorite films. BTW, Batman Begins, to me, is the best superhero film to date.

The souvenirs are already out for the 300;

How about a shield for $360.00? Or a '300' lunch box?
I wonder if the 300 have '300' lunch boxes?

In my best Buzz Lightyear voice- " Terry, You're mocking me, aren't you?".

I'm mocking the idea of a big tough Spartan with a lunch box. It must be an adult film, so kids can't see it, so who's the lunch box for?

I liked Batman Begins, and Sin City, and I hope I like the 300.

On Spike late last night there was a half hour show about the 300. I taped it but too many spoilers for me to watch until I see the movie.

Frank Miller looked real rough. Compared to how he looked as the priest in Sin City, he looked sick.
