jake86 02-23-2007, 05:17 PM I wish I could make up for the race I had a blast at the BRL Race but I have two much going on. Big car racing is starting up around that time and I don't have time to get a way. Have fun everyone.
Jason Jackson
Sorry to hear that Jason, but I do understand.
See you in Omaha.
MK Race 02-25-2007, 09:08 PM Hey AJ, you guys going to be defrosted by then?
philb1 02-26-2007, 07:27 AM I talked to AJ last night, had that St Louis style no electricity thing going on
We were without power for 48 hours, man that's a long time, but some here in Iowa may not have power for at least a week. The biggest problem is that it is so boring, no nascar, no computer, no rc cars.
It does make you realize how dependent we are on our electricity, it's almost scary.
kropster 02-28-2007, 02:36 PM Hang on AJ it looks like its coming again. Some of our workers are down in the Burlington area now. I believe most everyone in around here had power back by yesterday afternoon.
pmsimkins 02-28-2007, 02:47 PM The biggest problem is that it is so boring
With Iowa in general or not having power?!?! :hat:
Pat, some might argue that question, but I was referring to the lack of electric power.
See you in Omaha.

I never miss a chance to pick on Iowa a little!!!
Hopefully we'll all be able to make it to Omaha. Looks like the weather will improve tomorrow though.

yuk17bandit 03-06-2007, 10:15 AM I just got the call last night, sounds like the Monroe / S Wis. Drivers are starting to plan for this event. Couple questions, I heard the event was being pushed back a week because of Omaha, but I haven’t seen anything in this thread about that. Just want to make 100% sure. Is it on for the weekend 17 - 18 Th, also when can we get into the track to set-up, will it be like last year, Friday night after skateing?
Brian Cook = 13.5
Mike Hartman = 13.5
More to be listed later
jimmy24 03-06-2007, 10:23 AM aj , i need some claification on the race dates! i have already made hotel reserv. for the 17- 18, i need to know whats up?
No Changes on the Iroar Spring Race dates. March 17 & 18, just as originally scheduled.
Glad to see the guys from the Monroe area are planning on attending.
We should be able to set up after skating as we have done in the past.
If you can bring tables that will be a good thing as well.
jimmy24 03-06-2007, 07:13 PM Thanks AJ I was in panic mode

That was before I gave the boss the OK to go, :p
I’m not sure if using rabbit food is going to catch us an opossum, lol
I think were going to have to try something else. Hopefully after my first comment it won't be me and a flashlight
Anyone knows of any hotels / # around the track, last year we were like 45 min away, is there anything closer?
crisis641 03-07-2007, 12:10 PM The Two closest are :
Modern Motel
302 N K Ave, Vinton, IA
(319) 472-2391
Super 8
5369 Hutton Drive
Urbana, IA 52345
(319) 443-8888
There are also quite a bunch around this area in Cedar Rapids as well as lots of places to eat and other things. It's about a 40 minute drive to Vinton from this area.

KOKO, Some of the table at the rec center are questionalble, we have rented some, just trying to make sure that everyone has a good table, if you can't bring one that OK, we'll make it work. Some of the guys have been running offroad trucks on a r-oval and have been having a good time, usually no jumps.
