i have a mugen mbx -4 xr works i have been thinking about giving racing a try would this be an ok car to use for 1/8 scale or is it to old. can you still get parts for it.

its a good car, was my first "real" 1/8th scale. the xr is alot nicer flyer than the rr. our local hobbyshop still has plenty of parts for it on the wall !! one thing i remember about mine is i made my own "prospec" rear shock tower. you get a second one, and all new bolts that are about 2-4 mm longer and it will never bend again !! that sucker lasted me 3 years of abuse after breaking one after another with the stock one !!

I raced my gf's old Kyosho Turbo Inferno once and nearly won...the lack of kick-up in the front-end really killed me though, but wow it was stable in the air!

Nothing like my XRAY though, but good for it's time.
