Did anyone else watch heroes on the 5th, and happen to catch the NY license plate number on George Takei's Limo? A nice nod to Star Trek when it was momentarily seen and read "NCC-1701".
I had to play it back to make sure I saw it correctly. LOL I bet it was George's idea! I don't watch the show regularly, but when he is in an episode, I'll hafta watch for more "hidden" references.
Sincerely,

I bet George had nothing to do with it. I bet the producers decided to do a Trek gag the moment they knew they had George in the show.

Yeah. Especially considering that they had to manufacture the license plate.
Wow! Star Trek is so cool. Sometimes it's really hard to think about anything else.
There have been Trek references since the very first episode. Hiro is a geek and always brings up Spock and "to boldly go..." Great show too, btw....

That the producers wanted to give a nod to Star Trek was fine, but if they wanted to pay a tribute to George Takei, wouldn't NCC-2000 be more appropriate? Especially if it was his limo? Only Trek geeks would get the reference, but then again mainstream audiences wouldn't get the NCC-1701 reference either. My clerk just proved my point (she didn't even know who George was).
My wife didn't get the NCC-1701 reference, but, since she's a NexGen fan, maybe if they added a "D"?
