would a Trinity Nitronite 12 Turn Double be a good motor for an electric stampede witha gearing of 87/15?

i burned up my last 12T motor w/ the wrong gearing and my friend has a 12T in his pede and has a gearing of 87/16. he likes the gearing. he told me that 87/15 would ne good.

would it be good for me?
