Lefthander is sending some cool prizes. Jim from Beefy Products spoke to me about some awesome prizes he's thinking about sending up. I don't want to give it away yet, but they are something anyone would love but can't always afford. :dude: I hope to see everyone there because we should have some great prizes and lots of fun.

JBR Cells is our newest race Sponser. Justin will be bringing door prizes and will also be competing in the race! Looks like JBR will have a full team representing their awesome product in this race. Thank you so much Justin!

For those wanting to run in the SK class: I put a gear setup on the flyer which is incorrect. The rollout would have been way too high. The pinion gear should 24 -or- 25 which will make a much more competetive rollout with a 100 tooth Spur. I also listed stock motors and 3800 batteries to keep it affordable. I welcome any imput. If anyone feels these guidelines are not a good idea, please let me know! There really aren't any solid rules for this class yet, so I want to have some guidlines to keep it competitive.

I also want to announce that many of our racers have been running multiple classes per night. I think they should be rewarded, by the way of discounts. That said, I am pleased to announce Fri night racing will be $15 for the first class, if you run 2 classes, the cost will be $25, if you run in 3 different classes, the cost will be $30. (These prices are per racer) Of course I am willing to work with anyone if they are short of money or can't afford the amount etc. We just want you there. DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK!!!!

We started our kids legend class out this past friday. It was extremely fun to watch and I think the kids had a great time. If you have an old legend and a child whos interested, this is the class for them.

It,s alright to travel you might learn something.

I'm not sure who you are referring to, But I and most of the other regulars at R/C Speedway travel quite extensively to other tracks. Not impressed by your diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain.

Many of our racers/members travel all over the Northeast to different tracks. Infact, you probably have raced with a number of them. I can think of 4 of them right off the bat that race at 3 different tracks EVERY WEEK. I'm not sure who your directing your comment too but I'm assuming it's me.
Unfortunately, many of us can't afford to make the trips out of state to other tracks. Speaking for myself, I work for the Legislature and as you may know, The Legislature is in Session. Aside from working frequent 70hr weeks, I'm on call 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. I also have 4 children at home. When I'm not spending time with my family, I'm out buying supplies for the track and doing all the paperwork needed to keep it going. I would LOVE to visit all the tracks in the Northeast. Unfortunately, I can't. Our track is a club which means we're not getting rich running it. Every penny the track takes in is used for parts, supplies, and track upgrades.
We welcome everyone that comes to our track with open arms, not because we think we're going to get something out of it, but because we simply like to race and make friends. I hope this helps you understand what we are about. I'm simply trying to keep rc racing alive in Maine because there are so many good people who enjoy the same thing. That's the support we ask for. Nothing more.
As far as your commont about us learning something. You come on up to Maine and we'll see who has something to learn. Because Our track is made up of some of the best talent in the northeast. So all I can say is... BRING IT!
I guess that's enough said and we hope to see you soon.

What is Flyingf**k#8 talking about? What is he jealous or something? Apparently nobody knows who you are so maybe you ought to get out more also. Before you start cutting other people down you should come to Benton and find out what racing and having a good time are all about. If you have a problem you should just send a private message not post your whining on the main post. Hey Casey keep up the great work!! You are doing an awesome job! I know we all appreciate your hard work.

Brad, I'm sorry if we over reacted to your post. It was just bad timing. Last week somone mentioned somthing similar to what you said about us not going to other tracks to race and I was a bit suprised to hear that considering how many of our racers visit tracks all over. I know your a great guy and enjoy racing with you. It's hard to interpet what people type sometimes. So let's forget all this and move one to RACING!! You gonna come up and get your butt kicked in March? :p Jason Lam broke the track record again last night. It's going to take one hell of a run to beat it. Again, no hard feelings. Hope to see you soon.
I want to thank everyone for comming to my defence so fast. It just shows how we are more then a track we're a family of racers.

Why cant we all just get along!?!?! (LOL)

Casey you are right this is the one method that can be misunderstood the most!

I would like to point out that I have seen 2 of your racers at our events (im talking regulars......to your track, not just people who go there occasion). One came over the summer, twice and told us about the track.... the other showed up the day of Winterblast, with no advance notice.

As a track - we thank you all for the support. Alike you we are not making a profit....and more of having K&N open is for the love of the hobby than anything.

When people make the trip it is the best reward ever!

We are very thankful for all those who continue to support K&N - and like Casey said - being a track owner/operator makes it hard to travel and support other tracks...but we hope to in some form.

I always offer to post flyers about races, promote etc. So by all means send info our way if you have any (in the future).

But I also understand the other side, I do notice that if you travel, more will come to your track in return......

It's hard to balance....for us...if we close to travel, our racers get mad! They want us to be open 24 hours a day (lol). But if we dont travel how do we truly show support? Thats why I do my best to meet all the racers, the track owners/operators, help promote, etc. Until I find a way to clone myself or multi-task better (lol) its all I can do....but I truly want to do more!

Bottom line is we are ALL here for the same reason (the love of the hobby) so lets keep the hobby healthy!

Now..........lets focus on the upcoming races, we both have a couple of exciting ones coming up!

No problem Brad. That's the problem with email you can't see the other person's face and expression. No hard feelings. We have raced 11 years together and that's too long for this to be a problem.

Danielle, That was very well said. I couldn't agree more. I was just speaking to my wife about this. She told me to plan a weekend this summer and we can come pay you a visit. She also mentioned staying at Foxwoods Casino during that weekend. (Do you think she had an ulterior motive?) Talk to you soon. I got your PM and and reading up on those rules we talked about. Talk more soon!

Ahhhh Im sure I could help her with that! Its about an hour away. Maybe 45-50 minutes from the track - I know because Ive taken the drive recently (lol).

I love the casino (my weakness)......that and shopping which is why York and I get along sooooo very well, LOL...

I hope I didnt offend anyone with what I posted above, I was only agreeing with EVERYONE... I see this from all sides and I also know that people who only race dont know what the track owner/operator has to weigh out ...when it comes to being open, traveling and ya know we ALWAYS want new faces to come in - it makes for even better days of racing!

Yes lets get together or talk soon on those PM's......(when you have time).

I Just got off the phone with Lefthander RC. They already sent us a Tweak board with the scales and a Turbo 35 Shelf. He told me to put the items up for sale and all proceeds will go towards the lap counting system. He will send us another Tweak board and turbo 35 shelf to give away at the race as well as some other prizes. I want to thank Hayes for all his help and support! He's a great guy!

I wanted everyone to have a look at what we decided to get for trophies. We wanted to do something different this time. I decided to make March Mayhem, "The Race for the Cups". Here's what their going to look like. You can actually bring your trophy with you from track to track and show it off instead of letting it set home and collect dust. I hope everyone likes it. http://photos.hobbytalk.com/data/500/medium/PROPOSED_TROPHY.jpg
