well guys it doesnt look to good i have only gotten one response to this so far i will cont. to watch it for another 2 weeks or so and if nothing comes out of it . we will not be building the track it dosent look like enough people are gonna be interested enough in this area but ill hold out another couple weeks to c for sure or not
I know that I'm not from the NC area, but, I could not help noticing that the track you are wanting to setup is in a hobby store. While Hobby Talk is an awesome place and has tons of people that frequent it, the majority of the slot car guys here appear to be HO scale racers. Nothing wrong with that, but it just means that your audience is limited here.
How much asking, advertising, talking, etc, did you do at the hobby shop for this? Not to push you away from Hobby Talk, but have you tried a few other slot car forums on the web? I definitely would not limit your search for people who are interested to just here.
I think its an awesome effort and one that may have more traction than you know right now - you just gotta get it to the right audience.
Hope that helps ya out and lifts your spirits up a bit.
Good luck with the track!

Build it and they will come. I race r/c cars--Ho--1/24 and 1/32. We have the most fun with 1/32. We can actually see them!! We meet meet twice a month. One track is at a guys house and the other one we lower a track from the ceiling in a machine shop. We order pizza and just have a blast. We race Classic NASCAR--Dallara Indys--Trans AM--And a open class where anything goes (these are as fast as a HO car) The Slot it cars make the best open class. Just my two cents.
