I was givin a briggs 11hp which all i wanted off of it was the carb for my 12hp i/c. so i cleaned the carb up and put it on my 12hp and it worked great. so then i was lookin at this 11hp block i got and it looks to be in great shape, the only thing is that its missin the cam, govner/ oil slinger, and valve tappets(only got one), and the head. i have a 8 hp here that i can get the cam and govner and valve tappets from but i dont know if they will fit( i know the heads are diferent for sure between the 8hp and 11hp). i checked all the parts numbers and found the stuff from the 12hp will fit but im not tearin that apart for nothin when i got these other parts for an 8hp. i know they probably wont fit but im just wonderin wht some people opinions might be. thanks

No, won't fit... 11hp has a larger block.

ok ,, i was just wonderin because of the base gaskets being the same but i guess that dosen't acount for the height of the block,, thanks for the reply
