I just got done racing there last night, and I can say this is one of the best tracks I have raced at in a long time, and I have been to a lot of R/C tracks.
This track is super smooth and super fast, Snowbird style Layout, beside all of that you can race against 2005 4cell stock Snowbird champion Steve peake, which we battled it out for 4 rounds swaping paint and position's all night long and in the end Steve came out on top buy a tenth of a second.
The track is just getting started so this thread should get the word out there.
This is MY new home track thanks to the FoamDonut

Thanks Mitch it was a pleasure running so close with you last night. You said we traded paint I don't recall us even touching. Running that close and still taking 2 and a half seconds off the track record. 73 in 5:00.099 glad you and Rusty could make it and you guys are welcome anytime

well i dont think you and mitch traded paint but i unfortunately trader paint with mitch. lol. this is one hell of a track. one of the best i have ever been on. good warm-up for the snowbirds. the track does not have its own transponder set but they do rent out personal transponders. here is a map to the track

http://forum.proadvantagepaintball.com/viewtopic.php?t=75

if there arent many racers, we can always go into the next room and play some paintball. or do it after the racings done

Scott how have things been? We run oval on Saturdays doors open at 10 we start racing at 4 we are usually done around 8. Mitch said it took him 2 hours to get there last week. I don't think you would be disappointed if you come up. We only use personal transponders but they rent them out if you dont have your own. They have lots of pit area you need only to bring a chair and power bar for now. Bring up the gang would love to race with you guys again. This Saturday will be the last one I race till after the Snowbirds. So let me know when you are coming and I will try to get everyone out as well.

One of my best friends lives there. May be you could convince me to come up!!!!!
What classes do you run? I have a 1/12 , and 1/10 scale. How big is your track ?
Cheers Dan

Hi Dan would love to have you come up. Right now the biggest class is 1/10th scale. There are a few of us who have 1/12ths that just run some packs between rounds, so if you want to run that as well we could do that. I have not wheeled the race line for distance but the straights are 48 feet apiece and if my math is some what right the distance around a 10 foot circle is close to 75 feet so I figure its about 170 foot runline. The 1/10th scales start at 3.9's and end at 4.1's 74 laps in 5 minutes. We run 4 cell stock for now as well.

They ran 1/18th scale rally cars this week on the roadcourse. I believe the fastest lap was 10.6 seconds. Thats pretty quick for one of those little cars. Saturday should see the track record fall again.

Tommy I would say no longer then 2 1/2 hours from Messena. We are done usually around 8:00 8:30 depending if anyone needs extra time. I will try and get some measurements and pictures this weekend and post them next week. This weekend will be the last before the birds that I am there just so you are aware. Come on up this weekend its real easy to find

Just bringing this back to the front of the bus. Track is getting faster each week, had a good turnout this week lets keep getting the word out there. Would like to have a winter season ending race soon. Lets get some feed back on which weekend works for you guys. This track could easily handle 19 turn with out any trouble at all. Post up guys and we will get a date decided on soon.

Would like to congratulate Jamie on his TQ'ing yesterdays racing. Crowd was down so it gave us time to work on each others cars. We were able to get a few cars driving better which made for a great race in the main. We ran 4 or 5 laps late in the run with 5 cars with in 3 car lengths. Nobody wrecked and I was able to pull off the win. Keep digging Jamie your time will come. Don't forget to keep asking questions thats how you learn the fastest.

Jamie: Congrats on your TQ!!! Stick to the plan and you'll have Peake scratching his head in no time...heh heh

Seriously, sounds like you guys are going fast and having fun. Only wish your track was closer....

Thanks Todd, I have a feeling Peake was running a little on the slow side though. He was on his roof a little more then me! (for once!). It was also nice to be running without banked courners again!. Peake was right, I don't ask enough questions on race day (dont like to bug people that are running and trying to set up their own stuff. Hopefully I'll have the front end dialed for next weekend. I will also try and get Peake to juice up those putnam motors of mine and have better news next week. How far away are you Todd? Peake was saying he would use some of his winnings to pay for you to come down and race!.

FoamDonut
04-10-2007, 04:57 PM
Jamie just so you know I was running my best with what I had that day. Oh and by the way my name is Steve, it really hurts my feelings when you call me Peake. I also wouldn't have been on my roof if you hadn't hit me while you lapped me. I should be asking you to juice up my motors so I can run as fast as you do,:jest:

No it is Ozite, we are turning 74 laps in 5 minutes. I wheeled it out at 132 feet give or take a few feet depending on where your line is.

Mr hemi are you asking for a setup for this track? Which car do you run? Which tires do you run? We should be able to get you in the ball park.

Where do you plan on running? Flat? Banked? Short? Long? That will make a difference on setup. Are you looking for a new car or used?
