I might have to think about this one. Not likely. This is the best short track race in the northeast. 90 foot race groove. Last year the A main was all within a lap of each other. I can't wait.
Put me in for Kascar and maybe 12th if I can get a ride by then.

I forget every year what the racing schedule is for the Jeff Sears. All I remember is that I leave for the track when it's pitch black and when I get back home it's pitch black again LOL. This is a long race day full of good times and great door to door action!

mightymidget
02-06-2007, 06:07 PM
The race schedule for the JSMR is doors open at 7am open practice from 7-9am then there will be a controlled practice from 9am-noon,concours at 12:15 drivers meeting at 12:30 racing starts 1pm sharp, there will be no waiting for racers and a break between round 3 and the main,no reshuffle, heats are set up by ability,i no 99% of the racers and the other 1% i can ask others about ability, faster cars has the right of way if i have to keep telling racers to pull over they will be penatlies a lap.we do stagger starts(imfar)in the heats and heads up in the mains,if your car is broke in a heat or main you cannot put it back on the track, popping bodies, adjusting radios are OK.

Say it isn't so Dan!

Don't tell me the Jeff Sears is gonna be your last race as a race director! You've brought your club a long ways ahead since the days when the turns were lined with 14 inch tires and wood stacks served as the drivers stand.

Whoever replaces you is gonna have big shoes to fill.

Outlaw,it's true the time has came for me to start thinking about other stuff in my life, alot of people don't realize that i've been racing something my whole life, bicycles, motocross, stockcars and then r/c cars i'm not getting any younger,i'm not old but it's just time, this was not easy i did alot of thinking over the last year.
my doctor told me i shouldn't be getting stress,so thats why i don't take racing serious anymore, but being a race director is more stressful.trust me
i just need a break for a while( a long while)like i said i still will be at the track either helping out my wife, helping new racers or racing my SK once in a while.
jeeper,i believe that most guys run green on the leftside and black on RF and grey/white RR,i'm not 100% because i don't race our track much so someone else please post if i'm off base, those are all BSR tires.

dan... i can testify that running a track is definatly stressfull, specially with the big number of racers that a trophy race can bring. it's good to hear that you may race... i would like to see you with a JSMR trophy, cause i can testify this too... they are hard to get!!! it is one of the best and one of the most competitive races in the north east area!!!

i been racing dirt oval lately, but count me in for this carpet show!

and justina i got a car with your name on it... as always for this event.

mightymidget

MP,don't tell all my speed secrets, SAD but true, your still amazed that i was running reversed stagger at K&N and Barre, the Alien can confirm how i race my car,he shakes his head everytime and of coarse i get the alien speech, you can't do that,it shouldn't work, you have shock oil put it in the shocks,i hear over and over, my response is always the same too,i have a job i don't want two LOL

I can't believe that the JSMR is only 3 weeks away. Time for some predictions?

1/10th scale pro - will Kenny or David take the track record away from Wade? It be cool to see our past Sportsman champion, Chris Roberts, take the pro win. The odds on favorite has to be Wade Bissonette.

1/10th scale sportsman - Here, the winner will be harder to predict! TJ has always had a fast car but young Tommy Whitman definately has the experience to win. I know that Scott Gadway and Corey Mears are ultra fast but my prediction will be that Neil Hanson will take home the win in this class (he just came back from the Snowbirds with another year of experience under his belt and don't forget....his cars were smokin'!!!!!

1/10th scale sportsman (handout motors) - the young Gadway will be the guy to beat! My money is on him to win and set a new track record.

1/12th scale - I know that Jason Lavalley and Tommy Hargrave can be very fast in this class, but Rudy has been doing his homework. I predict that Rudy's package will come together and he will take home the win.

Well, there you have it. My predictions for the JSMR. Let's see if anybody disagrees?!?

Antonio
