View Full Version : ARCOR OPEN ~ Classic Hobbies!
Carpet Assasin 01-15-2007, 11:39 PM Well boys the Snowbirds is around the corner and then, its time for more banked track racing! March 31st - April 1st. Who is all in? The track keeps getting faster and faster. The bump is gone and the carpet is great! Mod record fell last weekend, 70. 4:04. So there is a good example that the track is in perfect condtion!!! Let's get it started! Any questions feel free to post and we will get back to you!!!
Mario
just to throw it out there, The PA system has been fixed so now you can hear, and no more of the 2 tone starts, Back to the Start on a single Tone........
I can't attach the whole flyer, just the pertinant information. I also cannot express the importance of pre-entering. One cannot expect a track to purchase awards for 1st-10th a Main and only 6 racers show up for the class.
Tracks are a business and a business runs on a margin. If 6 racers pre-enter, do not fault the tracks for having the awards to match the pre-entires. If 25 show up, don't expect to have awards to cover it. You as weel as myself have seen to many times over the years, that tracks buy awards and wind up eating them.
Oh yeah, they can replate them, but for the most part they end up with a hodge podge of left overs.
ADDED CLASS: Today I got an e-mail asking if the 4300 PRO-STOCK Brushless class could be/would be offered? I called Walt and he has no problem with adding this class with the minimum of 5 pre-paid entires.
So for you that run this class it is being offered. It's up to you if it's ran.

6. WEIGHT: FOAM TIRES: 41 ozs (2lbs 9 ozs.) CAPPED TIRES: 42ozs. (2lbs 10 ozs.) with transponders. A minus factor of .1 (1 tenth) of an ounce will be tolerated, in Qualifiers only, in all classes. You also have a PM, and yes there is a 1 race membership, don't know for sure the price thou
ohiorcracer 01-18-2007, 03:03 PM Ok guys thanks for the update on the price. I think its $25 for the whole year and $15 for a weekend race so its definetly cheaper to get the whole year if you run more arcor races.

aracefan3 02-01-2007, 11:02 PM There will be 4 of us trying out the brushless 4300 system, 4200 batteries on car bodies this weekend. Our brushless systems do not have upgrades. If someone else has one with upgrades come on up and lets see the difference on the track. I know this will be a fun class.
the brushless truck class with the spec batteries is turning out to be pretty popular. We had 13 last week with 3 people missing. So far Nick hit 55 laps with the thing.
Only 4,846,224 sec. till the race.... Can't wait
