I'm confused on how these burshless motors are rated. When you say 3.5 what is that referring to? And how about 4300, what does that mean?

View Full Version : 3.5 - 5.5 - 4300 ? McLin 01-15-2007, 10:01 PM I'm confused on how these burshless motors are rated. When you say 3.5 what is that referring to? KenBajdek 01-15-2007, 11:33 PM In general terms the brushless motors act like the brushed version of their number of winds times 2. This isn't exact but it is real close to performace. 3.5 BL = 7 turn mod 4.5 BL = 9 turn mod 5.5 BL = 11 turn mod 6.5 BL = 13 turn mod 8.5 BL (5800) = 17 turn mod 10.5 BL (4300) = 19 turn mod (close) 13.5 BL = 27 turn stock (close) Rusty22 01-15-2007, 11:51 PM lol im with mclin. i dont run brushless but ive seen it a lot and got confused on the numbers.
