I had these three varients of the VW GTI in my collection since new. Well loved and covered in shelf sitting dust. After getting my cases on the wall last year I found them a better home. I swore off any other brand and focused on JL's. I thought the stuff from HW and Matchbox was junk. The new Matchbox's has changed my mind. I spotted the new GTI and was very impressed. It was een better that it was red. I had a spot in the case next to the older GTI's.

Cool..I found one of the new GTIs this morning at WM.. I'm impressed with how nice Matchboxes have become again in the last year or so. Matchbox was my favorite from childhood in the Superfast era (though I have plenty of red line HWs and Tomicas from childhood still). In my 20s I bought quite a few vintage 'regular wheels' Matchbox as well.

Currently, I'm still collecting JLs, and selected HWs, Matchboxes, Sikus when I can find them, GLs, and Motormaxes..

They have a new team in place at Matchbox and that is why you see a great improvement!!!
