Well we had a good turn out for the oval. But was shy one to run the offroad.
Man the track was in excellent shape! Really needed some water! Had some
buggy and truggy time. But the funnest part was when three youngsters come
and run Tmaxx's and Revos. They come too late in the day to run, but next
time they said they would come. So there are enough of them to run a JR class.
This will be a blast to watch! And they done well too!

Nope Luke, have not seen him in about a year!

B.A. Sanders
01-29-2007, 09:47 PM
Me and LAKE still have the old trusty XXXNT's. If you'd come out we'd have
enough for a class. You still have that 18 in it?

Skywalker
01-31-2007, 11:08 AM
Yea and I got about 4 guys with xxx-nt's that when i get them all running we will be out there one week end! And yes the 18 is still large and uncontrollably in charge!

I'm running an Evo3 .12 5port turbo. Too much power also, but fun to drive.
My cousin has an offroad track in Tenn, and has a 125' straight with a double.
It launches you about 3' or 4' in the air and 25'+ jump at 20mph!!! Look out
battery box!!!!!!!

I'll give a better answer concerning the offroad later

Man what a day of racing!!!! The coldest day of the year
and we had the largest turn out!!!!! Five classes and
three tracks! Thanks for everyone's support and most of
all patience! I know our computer system is old and we
need to do some work on our loop fields, but we worked
through it. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Nice to
meet Chad and Jason. Always a pleaure to see Freddy and
Brandon return too. And thanks to our oval and onroad
guys that are always there. Here's the results:

#1 NASCAR/RALLY(concrete oval): We have a new face, Mr James took home the gold! Was loose at the beginning but got her warmed up and sticking like glue. Jeff has found
his nitch, running real consistant laps. Everyone was
trying new bodies too!
#2 CLUB SPEC TOURING CAR(onroad): New class we're trying.
Everyone run same batts, motor, and gearing. WELL, I am
not sure about Steve!LOL He took home the gold. This class was geared down, but not the racing! Fun class!
#3 1/8 SCALE BUGGY(offroad): Spencer was your man on this
one. I just couldn't keep my nerves down, maybe next time!
Brandon had some tunning problems but got her going. Man
what alot of speed in this class!
#4 MONSTER TRUCK(offroad): No stranger-Spencer again. Jeff
was kicking some serious consistant laps. Anyone that can
go from pan car oval to monster offroad, that's good in my
book. And for Jason, great racing man with that Revo. Get
that Spektrum, and you'll be trouble free!
#5 OUTLAW (Truggy offroad): Cleveland R/C Raceway's man
Freddy tore it up. Always running, stayed clean, and come
out on top. Chad had that Mayhem popping! Lake had the
Pro dialed in but flamed out. I guess my trash talking may
have give him bad luck, sorry Lake. I'll take the blame!LOL! Had fun, see ya'll next time!

Hey Mark this is a new class that we are playing around with right now. I belive that they are running any chassie, trinity 2000 spec batteries, trinity spec motor and trying to get the gearing close. Some of the other guys know more but this is a start. They had 4 cars running Sat and they were very close. I belive that its going to be a good class to keep cost down and everybody running close.

The reason i was asking is when we get a chance to come over and race, if we don't have enough for a stock class like we normally run we would need to have to proper stuff to run with the locals. Just trying to get a headstart before we make a trip. Good idea though... get more people involved without having to spend a fortune. put it back into the hands of the driver.

B.A. Sanders
02-05-2007, 11:00 PM
I noticed alot fewer broken parts and real consistant lap times.

Mark, any more happening with points series? We're trying to see where our
interests are right now. Going to extend the driver's stand for sure, need lights
too. The track needs attention before any big single event races.

The Bass Pro Series is a go. We are getting ready for the first race which is the 24th. Even with that going we (the Jackson guys) are still wanting to come over to T-town and race too. Dust off the on-road stuff and come have fun with us... you know you are always welcome over here.

Quick Question:
How long are the offroad races? Monster Truck and Buggy?
Thanks

B.A. Sanders
02-10-2007, 11:50 PM
Depends on what you're asking:

How long the day?------For a couple classes-3 to 4 hours
How long the qualifiers?-------5min.
How long the mains?--------5min to 15min, last time it was 10min.

sweet. He makes real nice shock towers too, but I ran out of money. I'm using
the ones I got from you.

Brent,
Hows the spec on-road class doing?
I heard you say what battery/ motor they could.
Is there a tire rule? I'm thinking about a RTR kit
to come with.

We had one run with it, and it's pretty awesome. Affordable, easy on
parts, and lots of fun. I've not tried it yet, but I think it'll get me into
onroad again. Here's our onroad link: James(SPIDER004) and a couple
of other guys come up with some rules. Any tires right now.

Brent dropped the computer off at my house this morning... James has offered to stop by and pick it up on his way over.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we are planning to run the spec-class and any other three that show up to make a class.

Thanks,

Well we had a nice day for racing, it was just a little cool but the racing was hot. We ran three classes. First we had the Oval Touring guys and man they were fast, the track was cooling down the whole day but the racing wasn't. James and Mark had the two fastest cars but Mark TQed and won the main even beating his own TQ. Next we had the new SPEC Touring and man what some racing. This is a fun class to get into, we are still working on the gearing and tweaking a little but man it was some close racing and not to hard on the pocket!! Mark also had the TQ and was the man to beat in the main. Shannon gave him a run but Mark was just smooth in the corners and edged him out. Last was the Offroad class, we had two 1/8 scale buggies and a REVO. Two of the three had never raced before and they both had a great showing. I myself really enjoy watching the REVO of Daniel and the 1/8 scale of Bobby dual it out, but in the end it was the Mayhem of Lake the took the gold (because Sanders was not around). Once again I want to thank all that came out and supported the track and hope to see you again in two weeks. Looking to get those Nascar guys back out and see some fast laps on the crete also.

Later,
Lake

As usual, something came up, and I ended up not able to make it for the racing today.
But, it'll have to freeze in hell to keep me from coming over to practice tomorrow!
I am curious though, if you could tell me what a decent average lap time for a buggy on the offroad track is. Since I've never even been to a race, I'm very curious. I'd like to know how much I need to practice to attempt to not get in the way and actually be kinda competitive.

Thanks

Gary
