It was a wonderfull and appreciated Gesture. And the procedes went to a good cause, The Victory Junction Gang Camp. Thank-you LARCGuy 01-08-2007, 04:00 AM First Race of our Winter Series - TQ & A Main Win 4300, A Main Win Modified. Awesome Tires John! NHOvalRacer 01-08-2007, 10:46 AM John, Turned my best laps and persoanl best @ Maximus yesterday. BSR Tires takes 1,2,3,4 In the A-Main yesterday. Keep up the great work and giving racers the highest quality tire on the market. Thanks again! Slim76c 01-09-2007, 01:20 PM I have a ? I am with my current tire set up all BSR's I run green's on the left. The issue I am having is that I am burning the off alot faster than my rights. The car is great and I hate to change tires all the way around. What compound would you recomend for the left side that would wear less. I am primarily running at plattsburg. I have ben going through a set a tires in about a month but they would last longer if i had lefts that would last longer so i do not have to true down my rights as much every week. Or should I go with a whole new tire set up all around?? My rights are 70/30 Silver/Gray and Gray/White. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Cory Mere 88 Racing Quality Concrete erock1331 01-09-2007, 01:32 PM I would say try a Pearl LR and maybe a white or Grey LF. If the car is tight try a White LR. J-Dub Racing 01-09-2007, 03:13 PM Just getting ready to order my BSR's for the snowbirds. What will everyone be running for stock and 4300? ericsalvas 01-09-2007, 03:33 PM J-Dub...i Tq'ed last year stock class using... LR white RR white-grey LF green RF black i won B-main (expert 19turn...wich is close to 4300 speed) i ran... LF green RF black LR pearl RR white-grey Eric team CW losi888 01-09-2007, 04:18 PM I have a question about how the Black Gray/silver(70/30) and the Gray/Silver (50/50) compare. I know how the 70/30 vs the 50/50 compare but how do they compare with a black. Joe DiGirolamo J-Dub Racing 01-09-2007, 04:19 PM Thanks Eric! See you down in FL at the race. Joel White bush87 01-09-2007, 07:52 PM Won Stock B- MAin RF- Silver RR- Grey LR- White LF- White Sportsman 19T 2nd A- Main RF- Purple RR- Pink LR- Pink LF- Pink bad cell 01-09-2007, 11:20 PM it may not be your tire combo. check the degrees of turn on the RF verses the LF , if your left is turning more than 5 deg. more than the right at full turn , you could be draging it in the turn. but i agree try not to mix exot. with natural. jus my 2 cents. Fireball929 01-11-2007, 07:45 AM hey Slim, Next time you're down to p-burgh bring the car over and I'll take a look at it. That's very close to what I'm running. My Tires wear but wear evenly. Fireball Racin JJ 83 01-12-2007, 02:31 AM got a question..Currently at our carpet track in CA. I have been running 3 whites and a black...the car was picking the left rear up going in...I got some white/gray rears this week do you think that would help in stock or should I just pre-load the car thanks Racin JJ davz 01-12-2007, 08:36 AM JJ, I would work on the car. you're getting too much weight off the LR in the corner. Stick with your tire combo, and see if you can use the chassis adj. to get it from doing that. Maybe a stiffer rf. spring or preload. or sideshocks. Maybe since you already have the tires, try that first, but it sounds like the chassis adj. will fix it. Mr.fastman 01-12-2007, 10:37 AM slim76 - I run that tire combination often, its unusual to have more LS tire wear, how much faster are the LS tires wearing? Are the front or rear wearing at the same rate? If your happy with the car just rotate LS tires on and off the car so all tires stay in the same size range. Doug P Mr.fastman 01-12-2007, 10:42 AM I have a question about how the Black Gray/silver(70/30) and the Gray/Silver (50/50) compare. I know how the 70/30 vs the 50/50 compare but how do they compare with a black. Joe DiGirolamo Joe - The 70/30 is pretty close to a black in grip, just a bit less, the 50/50 will offer less steering than a black, the silver foam durometers about 10 pts higher than black. Doug P Fireball929 01-15-2007, 07:52 AM I got some grey rears and noticed that they are small in width than the rest of my rears. What is the reason for that? BSR takes home TQ and Track record @ Barre VT in 19t 12th scale. 2Groovy4U 01-15-2007, 09:24 AM BSR takes tq and win in 4300 BL @ RCSM in Phx, AZ Thanks John for great tires!!! schase427 01-15-2007, 11:21 AM BSR Tires finish 1 2 3 in a Main at pitroad raceway sat. night IN 4300. TQ and new track record to Scott Chase jr.Win to Kenney Mox 2nd Chase jr 3rd Dusty Dean. Also ALL 3 cars were using TEAM OHP STICKS. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS.TIRES ARE AWSOME Later Scott Chase Sr. IndyRC_Racer 01-17-2007, 05:23 PM This has been asked before, but since this is a new thread I thought I'd ask again. What is a good starting point for tires for a decent sized flat carpet oval - something in the 145-165' range? Going to buy some tires and wanted to make sure I get enough to tune with. I know I could use 3 pinks and a purple RF, but I'm afraid that might be too slow. What is a good starting point for: 4-cell stock? 4-cell 13.5 brushless? 4-cell 4300 brushless? pmsimkins 01-17-2007, 05:32 PM 3 pinks and a purple will work in 4300. Also, you might want a team purple depending on what the car is doing. For 13.5 I have run well with 3 Dbl Pinks and a Dbl Purple. With these the car can be very fast, but inconsistent throughout the race day and within a given run. The upside is the wear is good. Recently I have been running a RR White, LR Pearl, LF White and RF Black. that has been working well although the wear kind of stinks. This weekend I'll be trying RR White/Grey, LR White, LF Green and RF Black. We'll see how that does and if it wears a little better. Mr.fastman 01-17-2007, 05:34 PM Well for stock and 13.5 Brushless a good starting point would be Silver/Gray RF, Green LF, Gray/White RR, Green LR. 4300 Black RF, Green LF, White RR, Pearl White or White LR. Hope this helps. Doug P Team BSR racin rudy 01-18-2007, 11:04 AM I heard that BSR is redesinging their 12th scale wheel, any word on when that will be done? fasthocars 01-18-2007, 01:17 PM on rctech.net it was AdrianM of Team Shumacher made this comment on page 770 in the 12th thread: "I ordered some Double Pinks from BSR today on big rims for Minnreg. I'll get you a set to try out so you can see how they compare." davz 01-19-2007, 09:13 AM This has been asked before, but since this is a new thread I thought I'd ask again. To keep it simple, I would start on 3 whites and a black RF, and go from there. pmsimkins combo with the Pearl LR works very well also. I really like the Grey/White rears too. 1 pr White rear (LR or RR or both) 1 pr Grey/White rear (RR) 1 pr Pearl Rear (LR) 1 pr White fronts (LF) 1 pr Black fronts (RF) 1 pr 70/30 Grey/silver fronts (RF) 1 pr Grey fronts (LF or RF) This would be a real good start with many tuning options for all 3 classes. It pretty much covers all the combos for the exotic foam family of tires. DZ davz 01-29-2007, 09:25 AM BSR Tires take 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th in 4300 A main, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th in Mod at the BRL Race #5 Summit Showdown this weekend! Awesome tires John! Tire wear is perfect, all wear even and can be ran several times before cutting is needed. Thanks John for Great Tires, Fast! LARCGuy 01-30-2007, 05:23 AM Silva Oval Classic 4300 A Main Win! Go BSR! KLUPI 01-30-2007, 05:59 AM At my local track (His and Hers Hobbies) the run line is about 156-160 Feet and the grip is always good. I found that a team purple RF,Double Pink LR, and Pink left side tires work very good. I ran my best lap times with that combo. THE BAT 01-30-2007, 10:48 AM Thanks John for the quick shipping.TQ'ed stock and 19t @ The Region 1 Carpet Oval Champs won stock and second in 19t.I'm glad your out there for us. Mark Z SuperNaut 01-31-2007, 12:28 AM _________________ davz 01-31-2007, 08:20 AM I am curious... does anyone else have trouble mounting their 1/10 Foam fronts on their Hudy Arbor? If so, how are you working around this issue? When I go to true my tires, it is a ridicuously tight fit! I have tried reaming the tire, but that didnt seem to help much... I guess I am wondering if its the rims or the arbor? Any input is appreciated! They are a tight fit. I took a file and filed down the arbor a LITTLE bit with the truer spinning. You want a slightly tight fit. I think the anodizing on the arbor swells it a little. N2RACN 01-31-2007, 08:48 AM i took some 1500 grit wet sand paper and took i little bit off the arbor. fits allot better. just be careful and go a small amount at a time, you dont want to go over board. Mike Mandio 01-31-2007, 10:21 AM I use a 1/12th scale arbor for the front tires. It works perfectly. MIKE VALENTINE 01-31-2007, 10:29 AM The arbors are the trouble, they aren't being swelled by the anodixing thou. The arbor should be a tight fit, if you can get the wheel on and off, even with some effert don't file any off the arbor, or ream the wheel. Just push the wheel on and pull it off. If you can get the wheels on send the arbor back to the MFG and get one that's the right size. Any time you buy a product that doesn't work you shouldn't need to alter it, send it back and get a replacement that fits. PUF19 01-31-2007, 11:01 AM The BSR rims are fine, it the Hudy Arbor, they all come over size for some strange reason. Kris Pisarcik 02-09-2007, 08:09 PM I've just got back into the rc sport been out 10+ yrs. My question is I run an rc10L4 stock 4 cell nascar (rc4less black frt cream rear) on 165+- flat oval that is grey mesh/tite loop indoor/outdoor carpet. I would like to get some tires but not sure what to get? Back when I last ran we ran in the 90's on a grey felt track (hobby heaven/Indiana,Pa) green or yellow dot was the normal for the pan car class. Any help would be great the guys at (rc avenue 2-Bradenville,PA) say this surface is not ozite, so I could use all the help and ideas I can get. Thanks,Kris adamliehr 02-13-2007, 06:24 PM I wanted to thank John and Kevin for some awesome tires! They are the best tire on the market!!!! Doug P Mayhem 02-13-2007, 09:28 PM Now that someone mentioned it, I have been running BSR's for 6 mos. now, not 1 chunked tire.
