Yep, that's right, the 1st ARCOR Paved Oval Worlds will be held on Freddies new paved oval track, July 7&8th, 2007. After much planning, we have the date/classes and it's for you to start planning.
We will be offering both brushed and brushless class.
BRUSHED: 4C Spec Truck, STOCK (handout motor class), Sportsman UB19T (handout motor class), Open Modified, max. 4300mH batteries, 1/12th UB19T (your own motor), and Indy cars.
BRUSH LESS: Sportsman Spec Truck 4300, Stock 13.5, Pro Stock 4300 and Modified
Freddie's new asphalt track will have a 350' run line, 9 degree banking and 25' wide lanes. Foam Tire Track. It should be AWESOME. There will be pitting inside and outside.
FLYER WILL BE READY FRIDAY.
Lohrr1 01-03-2007, 09:49 PM JB,
Does this take the place of the Firecracker Nats? This will be nice having this type of race so close to home!
Rick
WiiMan74 01-03-2007, 11:14 PM Way to go Freddie! if this race is anything like his Winter Race, It will be Great and along with ARCOR should make for one Great Race!!!!
Rick,
Yes, the "Firecracker" is history. Time to move up in the "World".
MARTIN 01-04-2007, 08:46 AM

Echeconnee 01-04-2007, 09:44 AM JB, does ARCOR still support Nitro racing? I know you guys put a lot into it for a while, even developed the .09 AP motor class. The reason I ask is that Freddies track would be awesome for nitro and I did not see it mentioned in the classes offered. Thanks
DK: A.D.D. fingers, fixed it thanks. I didn't know you stuttered??:jest: Also, Thanks on the race, to bad no one from our area travels outside the area, they are going to miss a good one.
Echeconnee 01-04-2007, 09:46 AM Foams or caps?
Cliff:
Yes it would be an awesome track for Nitro, it was not offered because of noise restrictions, that's the only reason. :(
It will be a foam tire track. No handout tires.
Echeconnee 01-04-2007, 09:52 AM If this is the track I am thinking of, The owner is promoting 1/4 scale racing on his new asphalt track and they make a bunch of noise. I was just wondering. We were talking about going, Ohio has got to be cooler in July than Georgia, lol
Freddie's Hobbies 01-04-2007, 09:56 AM For this being the 1st for the new track I felt keeping the noise down for the neighbors would be the polite thing to do. It is a quarter scale track, and for the 2nd annual world's in 2008 we will allow the nitro. Lets just get our feet wet. Not to worry it will be a great race
JB asked about the nitro, and it was my call. I just felt walking before we ran would be prudent
Echeconnee 01-04-2007, 09:59 AM When is the first Quarter Scale race?
Freddie's Hobbies 01-04-2007, 10:06 AM Our first race is scheduled for May 5th. Yes this is the track your thinking of. Like I mentioned before, it was discussed, and that was my decision. But thank you for showing your interest
John Foister 01-04-2007, 04:01 PM Are the 1/4 scale cars going to be running foam tires also?
Are the 1/4 scale cars going to be running foam tires also?
Now that would be a cool site!!!!!

burbs 01-07-2007, 07:56 AM Any pictures of the track?? I dont like the foam tire idea tho, asphalt is for caps.. How come they dont run cap tires?? also where is the track located... I want to make one big race this summer, hopefully the closest...
Freddie's Hobbies 01-07-2007, 08:16 AM We are between Cleveland and Akron in Ohio. I will caht with JB but if we have enough entries, we can do both, caps and foams. But if not it will be just foams.
People need to remember, this is the first race, and year for the new track. One must walk before you can run. Year two we can look at handout tires, Nitro etc. just enjoy whats out there and be part of the growing prossess.
brian_72: What BOTH of our posts lack is emotion or the "smileys" that Hank has provided. I edited my post hope you noticed it. You also have to realize, that there are several on here that just sit with baited breath, waiting to be sarcastic with me. I didn't think you were one of them, but I was surprised to see your post and truthfully took it the wrong way. Guess I need to get off the "offensive":jest: Please, next time just add one little smiley face.;)

Racing Raider 03-09-2007, 02:25 PM I will be new to asphalt. I understand that so many of us are still racing inside on carpet, but, since this race is coming up sooner that most think, I must ask. What type of foam tire set-ups do you all exspect to run on your car. reguardless of class.

Pink's and Purple's
LF-Purple
RF-2x purple
LR-2xpink
RR-Purple
Something like that
erock1331 03-10-2007, 11:03 AM If traction is low, I'd put on a purple LF, 2xx Purple RF, Aqua rears (or White LR and Grey RR). If the bite comes up Pink LR, Magenta RR
If bite is super high go with A trains setup
LARCGuy 03-28-2007, 03:42 AM How's the track construction coming along?
Freddie's Hobbies 04-10-2007, 04:04 PM How's the track construction coming along?
Funny you should ask. As of just a few days ago we had a foot or more of snow on the ground.
Our Drain pipes, and crocks will be delivered tomorrow. I will be installing them Thursday. Monday I will start digging out the track.
I met with the asphalt people last Friday. We went over the plans and time frame. It looks like we will have the asphalt down by the end of the month providing it doesn't snow again. I will start posting pictures on the Asphalt oval web site.
Start your sign ups now, You will be impressed going to a facility that will be ran right. Sit back and enjoy a nice weekend of racing. If you should need anything we have EVERY BSR tire IN STOCK, WE also have Every PRS gear IN STOCK. most IRS parts IN STOCK and all Finish Line items IN STOCK . Everything available to you at low internet prices. All on site
Echeconnee 04-10-2007, 04:24 PM edited for content
Freddie: Sounds like you have things under control. Just can't understand why you just didn't plow the snow and lay the track...HAHAHA.. Looking forward to seeing pictures as the track progress's. That would be nice for all. :)
OK guys, I had a lot of positive feedback at the Carpet Open about this race, everything from the time of the year to this race being a "Worlds". If you need a flyer you can get one off the ARCOR site www.ARCORorg.com (http://www.ARCORorg.com), off Freddies site, or I can e-mail you one.
