beavis353 03-23-2007, 10:32 AM Is there one bump up per main??
Come on Phil... Do you really need to be concerned with B main bump ups?
Phil700xcsp 03-23-2007, 10:54 AM Come on Phil... Do you really need to be concerned with B main bump ups?
I'm more concerned with bumping from the "c".
beavis353 03-23-2007, 11:04 AM haha. I doubt it. Just 4 wheel for you? Im deffinately running 2wd, but might run one other one depending on how much I have to change setups. I hate thrashing when money is involved.
I'll give Ryan a call saturday night and let him know about tires etc.
badassrevo 03-23-2007, 11:30 AM I ran the same setup and tires on my truck as I do in Jefferson and I pulled second in the A last time I ran there.
beavis353 03-23-2007, 11:31 AM Cool. You goin to this race?
badassrevo 03-23-2007, 12:05 PM No, not this time.
Phil700xcsp 03-23-2007, 01:42 PM haha. I doubt it. Just 4 wheel for you? Im deffinately running 2wd, but might run one other one depending on how much I have to change setups. I hate thrashing when money is involved.

I'm gonna run 4 wheel and stock truck. :dude:
badassrevo 03-23-2007, 02:26 PM There was all the way down to E Main in 4wd for the trophy race. Truck was a big class too. Try to get there early pit space is limited. You are not allowed to apply buggy grip in the pit area, you have to do it in the track area. Just letting you know because it was kind of confusing last time.
Phil700xcsp 03-23-2007, 02:31 PM Thanks Doug.
badassrevo 03-23-2007, 02:35 PM They also tech the cars and weighed them.
trashedmaxx 03-23-2007, 02:45 PM Just to let the 4wd guys know, lipo will be allowed in 4wd. See you guys sunday!!
So Lipos are allowed in the building now for mod classes?
All The Way 03-24-2007, 01:32 PM only for this race and 4wd only
emod15_777 03-25-2007, 08:58 PM Thanks for the good time today guys. I guess I was just the first loser today. Atleast I finished though!
Anthony, you have pm.
All The Way 03-25-2007, 09:10 PM got it now
badassrevo 03-25-2007, 09:26 PM Hey Ryan,
How did everybody do?
bellinger 03-26-2007, 11:38 PM thanks alot for coming out yesterday guys . racing was top notch and the caliber of driving shown yesterday was the best weve seen in a while . despite our lite local turnout , and in general , we had a blast and hope you all did too. think it made up for it with the 115% payback ! without the race sponsors we would have never been able to do it . all i gotta say is those ashtabula boys are too quick . ryan , at leat you didnt get beat by a girl at our race !
CWhite 03-27-2007, 06:47 AM caliber of driving shown yesterday was the best weve seen in a while . despite our lite local turnout
OUCH!
bellinger 03-27-2007, 06:39 PM LOL! that really wasnt meant as a slap at our locals ! just stating that the caliber of driving was great . i truly believe that some of our local guys are on par with the pros .
beavis353 03-27-2007, 06:48 PM LOL! that really wasnt meant as a slap at our locals ! just stating that the caliber of driving was great . i truly believe that some of our local guys are on par with the pros .
...But its sure hard to tell if they dont show up. By the way bellinger, none of the racers who came to your cash race were "pro".
bellinger 03-28-2007, 09:03 PM i didnt mean that the guys that showed up were pros. ive been to alot of big races , and what i meant was that our local guys at times seem just as fast .
trashedmaxx 03-28-2007, 11:37 PM i didnt mean that the guys that showed up were pros. ive been to alot of big races , and what i meant was that our local guys at times seem just as fast .
So now what are you saying the guys that showed up at your track are not fast? LOL
Just busting your balls.
I had a great time at your cash race. The track was sweet once again.
CWhite 03-29-2007, 03:09 PM HAHAHA!!! Full wang baby!!!
Beavis,
No one is more bummed than me about missing the cash race. I couldn't work it out. It just wasn't in the cards. Alot of things went wrong for me that weekend.
I don't want anyone to doubt my dedication. At first the cash race was scheduled for the weekend of the 18th. I canceled my last snowmobiling trip of the year because I didn't want to miss the cash race. Then the race was moved, which I completely understand and don't mind one bit, other than the fact I could not make the race.
I friggin love racing electric indoors. Despite it being the my first and ONLY time racing electric buggies and electric indoor. Racing at Glenwood is some of the best racing I have experienced in quite some time. Not since I was frequenting CRCRC back in the day when they would get 80 to 100 gas trucks on a Saturday night. Indoor is super fun to me. No more hot sweaty sun beating on my back. No dust choking me or making my eyes water. No friggin crazy 1/8th scale drivers that can't control their vehicles so they just go full throttle every single corner with no regard for any thing or anyone in their way. I've grown tired of the crazy, insane, full wang 1/8th scalers. Last summer the only 1/8th scale racing I did was at the RC Pro series. It was fun because you didn't have as many full throttle nuttty people.
Please don't be mad at the locals for not showing up to the cash race. You have too see things from their point of veiw. Yeah it sure is fun racing their, but the same few people have been winning week in and week out. Pretty much the best racing is in the B main. It has the closest skilled drivers. Each week the B main racing is some of the best racing due to how close in skill everyone is.. Normally the winner of the B only wins by seconds if not fractions of a second. So with out of towner "fast guys" coming for the cash race. Alot of the locals couldn't justify coming up with the "coin" for the cash race. I'm sure next year will be quite different. Everyone is getting better and faster. So next year if there is a cash race I am sure it will be alot bigger than the trophy race. There were 70 entries for Glenwoods first trophy race. That race went off without a hitch and was such a fun race to attend.
I guess my whole point is please dont let this past cash race stop people from attending next years cash race. If there is one next year. Glenwood is a top notch facility and it is only in its infancy stage.
beavis353 03-29-2007, 04:53 PM Wow.
Hard not to be frustrated when you invest quite a bit of time, money and effort to race with the same 5 dudes you race with every week. Understand those who drove 2-3 hours to race only 6 locals.
Despite your reasons for not showing up, all those who were there will believe you didnt show up on saturday or sunday because you didnt want to get shown up on your home track. All of the locals had a huge advantage over those traveling in, especially on that surface. With the glenwood boys paying down to even last place (worth $5), the most anybody paid to race was $25. Very small price to pay to have a shot at $100 +.
In terms of your opinions about the track and its owners, I agree 100%. The Glenwood crew is awesome, and their efforts have been hole hearted. I was also frustrated for them, as this event went from a fund raiser to a charity event. Had this race gotten the 70 entries that the trophy race had gotten, they would have been able to keep 50% instead of changing the payback to 100%. Too bad for them.
Im not mad at the locals, or the track. Just a little sad to see yet another WNY track not being suported by its locals. With such a poor local showing, what reason do any of us Ohio or PA racers have for ever coming again?
