I'll be there when I can trying not to get sucked into the quarter scale with Gilly and Will... Only big summer races I know of are the Region 3 oval in SC and the Paved nats at the same place. easly, SC I think. I don't have the dates. Maybe race on the offweekends of Hobbyraceway... Look forward to racing there this summer!!

The only dates that I know of where a lot of electric racers will be at big races are weekend of May 19 and 20, and August 17-19. I personally only plan to run LPR once a month, but am ready to start this weekend.

Chip we will set a date for the Southern 500 soon and it should be a good size race this year. I am just waiting for everyone to post their dates first this year so there are no conflicts.

well i am still waiting on my motor to get in ordered 12/29 and somehow it ended up in saint petersburg,fl. so i am suppose to have one monday.all this hurry up and wait for more parts is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!guess i will have to stock up well on parts cause i can't stand to wait this long to get em.

GILYHANTREE. I hear ya on the waiting game. is that the expected delivery date. I order something from PA. this week and was told it would be next week before i get it.
Like you it will probably go to texas, then to florida, then to me. Makes sense to me.

My friend called David that night and spoke with him about the car. He was supposed to be e-mailing some pics of it. He said it might take a while since he didn't have a digital camera. I received an e-mail from my friend this morning stating that he is still waiting for them. Not sure if he tried contacting him again or not. So I don't really know of its status. :confused: Brian

How many usually show up to race electrics? I used to come down there with a friend nearly every Sunday back in '96/'97 and race 1/10. Its the last track I ever raced any oval at so its been awhile. I always had fun at this track :thumbsup:

we don't have a regular crowd of electric's. It has been this way for several years now. We are hoping to put together a series (3-4) of races this year for the electric crowd. We hosted a race in 2006 that had some great electric racing. The sound was awesome...LOL.

Seriously, if anytime you guys would like to come run during our regular season feel free. We can always punch in another class:)

I was wanting to put my input on the .12 motor for Gascar. Why the rear exhaust engine? There are a lot of side exhaust engines out there. I don't know of a rear exhaust that is under 1 HP. With the current .12 engines that we run, I have always used a restrictor in it. Never have I run it without one to use the full power of the engine. So what makes the other side exhaust engines any different? Side exhaust engines will fit in all the current nitro cars now. A rear exhaust engine will not unless you modify the car. You then would have to get a tuned pipe and that is even more money. I say stick with a side exhaust engine that can be used to bolt on and go. Saves time and money. Any other input on this?

This is basically been my stand on the engine also. Rear exhaust is not going to work on a pan car!

Like it or not the Dynamite .12SPD side exhaust is still out there. It sells around $80.

If there is no solution gathered soon, the .12 oval pan class will die.

Well I would have to apologize too. I also will not be able to make the meeting :( . My excuse....simple...trip expenses. Living in the Nashville area makes it quite a drive. I would like to pay my dues ($) since I would be calling it my "home track" and would like to hear the highlights of the meeting but not sure how to go about it. Any suggestions?.....Brian

I also will not be able to attend. Had some surgery in early Jan and have not yet been cleared to travel. Sent Marlin an e-mail to get instructions on how to pay dues. Would hope that someone who does attend would take good notes and write what goes on at the meeting here on the forum so the rest of us can read it; especially any changes to rules, etc. looking forward to to getting started.

O.K. Guys, it is time for the club meeting. The combination to the track will be changed Saturday morning. You will be able to get new the combination when you sign up for CCRC membership.

me and gilly been working tail off this past few weeks hope yall are ready for new season and new members there aint gona be a comfort zone at lagoon no more so blow off those dusty wrenches if you can find them :thumbsup:
