I recently found a hw redline olds 442,the body is probably c-8 but the redline wheel caps are no more than a c-5 so I would like to upgrade to better condition wheel caps.

What lower costing hw's would be good canidates to look at to try to obtain the proper type wheels for a swap?

What is the best way to remove and replace the redline wheel caps without leaving marks or damage to the wheel or backing plate?

I'm no expert but there a re a number of places to get repro wheels. If you want good original wheels you'll pay for them.

I don't know which size exactly fits them, but it depends on wether they are the two-piece wheels, or the one piece that slides over a tubular plastic piece. The lower priced ones to look at are usually the formula 1 style cars or the J-cars and Chapparels.
