Just kidding. Tomy AFX is still putting out lots of sets. Life-Like also makes loads of sets each year. Well actually the same old sets with new cars each year. You can find them on the on-line hobby shop sites or of course the Bay.

Are you changing hobbies or merely adding slot racing to r/c racing?

Either way welcome to the boards. Ask away, we are a helpful bunch really!

Well It started out like one of those Abbott and Costello routines, dating myself, like "Who's on First". :) rr

I'm new to the slots at a hobby level.... my old man has probably somewhere between 200-400 ft of track

My opinion... for what it is worth.
First, stay away from anyone who dates himself. Too narcissistic. LOL

In plastic track, I prefer Tomy. Better selection and a deeper slot.

For cars... well, that depends on what speed you want. All of the new AW cars would be a good choice. But for overall bang for the buck, I prefer Tyco 440x2 with slip on silicone tires.

That and $2.26 will get you a gallon of gas in this area.

What about the different scales? Obviously 1/24th is huge... what about the rest though?
