I have the XS3 FM and have had no problems with them. JR-Z1 is real nice if you want to go synthesized. 9 model memory and lot of great features.

I have had a XS3 since '03 and never had a problem with it. JR stuff is great and I plan on using there stuff for years to come.

Agreed. I have two XS3's and five receivers. Had problems with one receiver, do to user running through a rather large puddle of water, that JR repaired with no problems. I got the Spektrum DX3 and miss the features of the JR and the quality feel and appearance of the JR. I just like not having to worry about frequencies.

I had a Spektrum DX3 and loved it with my Revo. Then I started running electric and needed more throtle control( the DX3 does not have expo) so I picked up a Futaba 3PK on EBAY for $81 and I love it.
If you are short on cash get a Spektrum DX2 for $169.00

The JR R-1 is the best radio I've ever used. It's even better with the spektrum module.
