That was a big hit. How the heck do you bend the bottom of the frame?

Randy Baker was driving that thing like that? holy smokes!!! Had to be more than a hand full. Gives a whole new meaning to tweek...:roll:

I don't know but when they hit you could hear it. The wreck was behind me and when I heard the "thud" I turned around to see the two cars. When I made it over to them the frame was all the way back to the axle. I carried the car over to randy because I thought it was done. Well he proved me wrong. He finished the race in 2nd and was really running strong with it bent like that. Here is a front view.

You run into an object at a very high rate of speed. Nasty looking frame wouldn't you say. It will live again. Just not as soon as planned. Randy has already clipped the front end and is getting it ready for paint.

Did anyone find out the times in the A? Also Did anyone ever find out the actual speed we were running? 585 feet in 10.5 seconds. How do you figure that?

Lance, you are correct and I do apoligize to Jim. Often my brain does not work proper or at all. It has gotten as lazy as I am.

If,and thats a BIG IF, my calculations are right,585ft in 10.5 sec=3510ft in a minute.3510x60(1hour)=210600.0ft in 1 hour divided by 5280ft in 1 mile=39.88mph. Which is moving!! :thumbsup:
Scale would be 39.88 x 4=159.62mph scale??

The fastest lap in the A-main was John Pipchok 10.657. TQ was 10.568 (I think).

Hi guys , well the frame is repaired . I ended up clipping the frame from the radius rod mounts forward . Only thing salvageable frame wise was the right front shock mount . Also lost a servo saver on the left front , bent a steering link and radius rod on the right and broke a 1/4 " hiem . Nerf bars are junk . Udder fer that IT will live to see another day . Was hoping to have it ready for Cedar Rapids this weekend but I won't make it . Have alot of parts to clean and check out and put it all back together . For all of you that are going racing this weekend good luck and have a safe trip .

Hi Lance - The track was made bigger about 5 weeks ago. I was told that the run line is 600 feet.

Are you coming back to race with us this year? :-)

Also, I was told that the dvd's from the QSAC Sprint Dirt Nats will be ready late next week or so. He said there is some AWESOME footage.

If You are running on a weekend I have to move my little sister then I will definetly run again this year. She is going back to WVU so I'll be right down the street.

As far as a regular weekend race I dont know. That is a LOOOOOOOOOONG trip. Thank goodness Kristen helped with the driving. But who knows I may get a wild hair and haul but up there. :p I know I had a blast.

I emailed Wayne lastnight about a DVD. A few of my friends here want to see it. I'm going to try and talk them into a sprintcar. :thumbsup:

I would also like to thank everyone for a great weekend. Can't wait to come back. Thought I had something while leading until the mid way point when I got turned and t-boned. Oh well I was happy the car finished as bad as it was hurt. There was a lot of good racing and and a ton of good bench racing. I whish that I would have got mine handleing before the last minute before the heats started. I would have a lot less clean-up to do. lol Scott you need to do this again. Cant wait. July 21st we race, its a "twin 25" event too. August 25 is race date also. Let me know.

you guys have to come to freddies hobby and run your sprints. the track is really fast.

1/4 scale nascars are great should come and see them run on saturdays.

I still have my 1/4 scale sprint car, but I am now racing more just here in Michigan doing the 1/10 scale dirt outlaw late models. Wow what a blast that is. Other than that not really doing the 1/4 scale thing any more.
