View Full Version : where to get new 13.5 rotors
where is a good place to buy a new 13.5 rotor?
Thanks Jake
ta_man 12-25-2006, 01:30 AM If you mean the sintered rotors, try the LHS. I called mine with the Tower price in hand ($29.99) and they matched it. With the tax (on 2) it cam out to what they would have cost from Tower with shipping.
LARCGuy 12-25-2006, 05:17 AM The sintered rotor is illegal in a 13.5 at a lot of tracks. You should check your local track before dropping some coin on a mod that you may not be able to run.
I just want a replacement rotor , not sintered.
thanks Jake
irvan36mm 12-29-2006, 09:00 AM Jake- Lefthander's got em. $16.00

If the sintered one is illegal at your track, you shouldn't go wrong w/a direct replacement one. If you don't already have one, look into getting a motor cooler, either from Lefthander or Crazy Ronnie. It really helps out the motor from thermalling, thus saving the rotor.

You quoted the wrong part. That is the rotor for the original 4300 and 5800. The 13.5 has the larger front bearing and takes a different rotor.

You possibly have one of the early models. Now the 13.5s come with the big bearing.
SDL98 12-31-2006, 08:49 PM Ya I know that wish I would have paid more attention before I ordered bearings for it taking for granted that it had the bigger bearing.
outlandr91 12-31-2006, 09:05 PM Hi Guys,I thinking about getting into brushless oval racing and I have a question, what does "sintered" mean? Thanks
It is what they are made of then Nickel-plated .They are smaller but run cooler and are stronger.
Jake
So the deal is the 4300 up graded rotor and 13.5 rotor is the same?
Both black and have the front shaft for the bigger bearing.

Promatchracer 01-03-2007, 04:13 AM Call Novak up Last I heard they where repalcing for free the endbell and bearings on the first batch of motors that went out by mistake
not real sure an what all needs to be done though with them
brian0525 01-03-2007, 10:00 AM E-mail Charlie at Novak and give him the serial# off the motor that you have and if it checks out to be one of the few that had the small bearing and older rotor they will ship you a new one no charge!
My 13.5 motor is the newer one with the big bearing I was just asking if the rotor that comes in the ss4300 upgrade kit is the same rotor as the 13.5 rotor.
I have been told that the ss upgrade rotor and endcap with the big bearing has been discontinued.
