Here’s some Holiday Cheer …and cheers to Jada Toys and the crew for releasing some very cool stuff next year. Some random shots…

I like this Falcon. I think it's already out. The paint and accuracy of the casting is on the mark. Graphics designed by ‘Eric the Turk’

Another interesting thing is…Jocelyn’s Sweet Treats. Jocelyn is the better half of one of Jada’s Designers (can you guess which one?) :x9

Here’s a primered VW Bus fitted with Pro-Stock Wheels. Looks cool but I think it could use a blown Olds 455 in the back seat. The custom flames by Kahuana Kev adds a little class.

My favs...these 1/64s Jada cars...A very cool Shelby with graphics designed by Carlos! Coming out in a five pack soon.

And these…from the soon to be released Van 5 Pack. Graphics designed by Juan. That Dodge Van is HOT! Looks like 2007 is going to be another winning year for Jada Toys :drama

For me 2006 has been a great year collecting many diecast brands. It'll be interesting to see how 2007 shakes out in the marketplace. The resignation of Big Lou Tanahara from Jada in 2006 was definitely a personal bummer for me. IMHO Big Lou’s influence and contributions in the automotive and toy world are legendary.

It is very reassuring to know that despite all the doom-and-gloom news that is buzzing in the diecast toy car industry about costs, over abundance of inventory and lagging sales that Jada Toys is going to continue pumping out some of the most amazing diecast in 2007.

I’ve collected HWs, specifically Redlines since 1968 and Jada Toys actually pulled me back into collecting more contemporary toy cars.

After the holiday toy buyers flush out the existing older inventories I’m guessing that the retailers will be restocking with some of the best new diecast we’ve seen to date from all the brands.

The Jada 1/64 scale has been much debated already…but the 1/64 (3” vehicle size) scale segment is more of a marketing term than it is an accurate description of the product.

To me they are close enough in scale. If you decide to get too picky on scale then you should be bitching on why a VW is the same size as a 70 Torino.
I was getting bored with diecast as there was a general slowdown in new product. Jada has been my main motivator in keeping it going. While I favor muscle cars it is nice to get an assortment of imports, vans, and other unusual cars. Jada has come through big time with their For Sale cars, dioramas, trailer sets, chrome cars, and the 5-pack race cars. Luckily I found a local store, Collectibles Diecast, which had every Jada piece I was looking for.
I look forward to those vans and the Nissans you showed in the other post.
