Just stopped by the local hobby shop and picked up some ne AW cars. Yes there are a couple of dissapointments , But I want to be different and call attention to the postives . And I want to start with the Tjet 68 racing Camaro .
HATS off to Tom and the crew on this car. The body lines are excellent , the wheel wells are excellent , the body sits perfectly on the chassis . Really nice car ! I know it had to be tempting to just redo the original aurora 68 Camaro , but this mold blows that on out of the water. Further the 67-69 Camaro has always been a difficult body to scale down to toy size for some reason , many have tried and failed but the Guys at AW Nailed this one .
Great Job Tom !

Thanks for another great new tjet body to collect and race. !

Thanks for the comments Piz. I have a couple on the way, getting back into the TJets with this latest round from Tom and the AW gang. Glad to hear all the good things about this version, they sure look good in the pix I've seen. And they're going to make some good custom fodder too.  rr

I just finished tricking out my 68 Camaro. I lowered it and made new windows that dont weigh a ton. I went a little high on the rear tires, was not sure if I could go with a .350 on my track. The .360 Wizzard tires worked good on my Tomy track. With ANY T-jet style car, if you use an RT brass front end you have to switch to Hobbit-its brass screws for the body. Other wise they will drag the track.

These cars are light years ahead of the JL stuff.

I have not raced any yet but I have noticed the lack of alot of chrome and just painted bumpers on most cars.
the purple paint doesn't cover well, and did anyone notice the "inflat-a-head" guys with the tjet blazers, lol.
all cosmetic.

I do have one complant.....what marketing wizz at Auto World thought a purple Corvette would be cool? I hope that guy was fired. That will be a car us dealers will be stuck with.

Has any one tired the Blazer, I kind of liked that body. But I am softie for 67-72 Chevy trucks. I am glad AW came out with some cars for us GM guys!

Do you not remember the nice series of 70 mustangs that JL did?Light years???check out that 2 piece front on the vette, gag! Not to mention the huge dirt clods in the paint that would make even a Maaco painter cringe.
