I made my own scaleboard. if you want consistant readings , then be sure to invest in a good quality scale. most of the cheaper scales tend to give varying readings if you don't place the tire on the tray in the exact same spot everytime. whereas the better qualit y ones it doesn't matter where the weight is placed on the tray

These are AWESOME scales!

Also, having 4 scales are more true then 2 scales.

The older scales work fine.
If your scales are not reading right then get new ones from Lefthander.

I would get FOUR of the SAME scales and do it right!
Lefthander scales are the best for the price!

One of the best ones I found for tray consistancy is a Tanita (1475T). Others would be the Ohaus (Emerald), and My Weigh (MX-500H) makes one that is pretty decent. The Tanita and Ohaus are not cheap around $80. But the My Weigh is about 1/2 that. The place in the link below has some really good prices. They do not carry the Tanita model I listed but I have seen it listed in a store on amazon. Also a few of the scale sellers on e-bay have had them listed.

The one that lefthander sells is ok. The few that I have seen have not been real consistant in their readings though. However, alot of people do seem to recommend them though.

Four scales make weighting 1/18,1/10.1/12. 1/8 scales easy and more accurate then 2 scale systems!
And at $20 per backlight digital scale each or $120.00 for the complete system you can't go wrong.

The scales that Lefthander use are very compact and store anywhere.
I'm all for having the best equipment in a small size to take to the track.

Lefthander scales work fine for pan cars but I did find limitations for my sprint car due to the max wt of 500 grams. Sprint cars weigh a lot more than pan cars do. If it had a 2 lb scale it would work fine for most any 1/10 car or truck.
