I was Googling for some info on a slot car dynamometer I had read about, with hopes of helping hank80 on the 1/32 board. He's looking for a slot car dyno. Check out what I came across:

Scroll down to project J0711. As a California State Science Fair project, this 8th grade kid built a dynamometer to measure output of HO scale slot car motors. The Abstract link takes you to a short document describing his project, and the Category Award link shows you that he won a prize with it! Hey, somebody get this kid to the Patent Office...

Cool, huh?

I concur, get him to the Patent Office! Does anybody know who this kid, it would be nice to see his calc's and drawings. I could built one if I have the related information. Being that I work all day makes it kind of hard to do......still waiting on the lotto to hit!,..like the rest of us!

That's cool! I would love to have a dyno. It would help so much in determining what engine to use in a car.
