ok i just got into pan cars and was informed i NEED to run 64p, so i switched to 64P gears and i can't get the mesh right at all when i roll the car it makes a horrible noise but when i give it throttle the sound goes away after a certain speed so what gives? This is really annoying and i can't figure it out i tried moving it closer/farther away and to no avail the sounds still there! any help will be apriciated, thanks in advance.

They will make noise when rolling the car, but not bad. Make sure both gears are 64 pitch and that all the teeth are clean, no chips or stripped. I always set my mesh with just a little play. Another way to set the mesh and adjust for sound, is hook the motor to a charger on motor mode or turn the car on and set the throttle where the motor is moving slowly and adjust mesh that way and you can adjust for noise. Hope this helps.

Sounds like it could be two things:
1st, The diff may be loose or not put together very well. I always go with setting the car on the table and holding the rear tires with both hands and at the same time try to push with my thumb the spur. If I can turn it easily, it is too loose. If I can't turn it at all it's too tight. It should be difficult, but not impossible.
2nd, this is important. The gear mesh should be set so that you can just barley, and I mean barley move the spur or the pinion back and forth while holding the other still.

The way i have found to get the perfect mesh is this.. Lets say you need to run a 43 tooth pinion.. Put on a 44 tooth, and make the spur and pinion tight... screw the motor tight, then remove the gear.. put the 43 on and the mesh willbe perfect.

If your running a steel pinion gear it will be louder then an aluminum one. I have a few steel gears and they are real noisy.

I like that idea with the bigger pinion. Also try the nylon/composite kimbrough pinions with a fresh spur gear. Its kind of eerie when you car zooms by you and makes ZERO noise.

TEAM lost.
NEVER let anyone tell you "YOU NEED TO RUN" anything.
48p gears work FINE and for someone NEW to pan cars they are MUCH easier to set up. (I actually prefer 48p gears when hunting for ratios, but once I find what I like...switch to 64..just because)
I've seen a LOT of "new to pancar" guys ruin gears by either being too tight..or too loose...and when they switched to 48p their life got a lot simpler.
