i am looking at ups (uniterupted power supply) systems for my computer, because our power goes out alittle too much. i am looking for a basic one for home use on one desktop, there are so many differents kinds ranging from $50-$2,000 whats the difference? any recomendations?
i just want one that will let me save what i am doing and shut down, i don't need to use my computer when the powers out:lol:

In case you are still interested, I would just go with the standard APC. You can get a decent one for what you need at newegg for $90.00

apc is the way to go, not to mention they have great built in surge protectors.

very cheap, and decent. we use this at work for desktop computers. we've rated them at 20 mins before they turn off. thats more than enough time to save what you are doing and shut down for the night =)
