If this race turns out like the last one it will be great. That was some of the best racing I have ever been a part of. Hope everyone can make it!

Will anybody be running 19 turn?

Larry B
12-15-2006, 05:54 PM
JH, What motor would you want to run in 19 turn? I could run 19 if we use the Ultra Bird. My only other motor is a Kisby. I do not belive this Race is ARCOR and Ernie may let me run it. Some others May want to run 19.

Well if no 19 turn you can count me in for Stock too.

Any way we can make this a Snow bird warmup race as well and use SB rules (no body hgt, CO27 for stock, same wgt)? Thx

Sorry, but it's a bit late in the day to make that kind of a major change. I do appreciate your thoughts, though. Thanks; Ernie P.

I will be testing the CO27 all day. That seemed to be the fast motor at the last race.

Ernie all that is needed is to just drop the 41/4" car mim. hgt. The 4 mm clearence under the chassis you already do. Looking down from the top of the car you should not be able to see any of the front tires. Anyone can run the CO27 anginst the other approved motors if they want.

This will be a great way to start off the next year.

The Red Carpet Inn (around six miles North of the track) has offered a special rate for any one attending either of the JACO/SMC 2007 Snowflake Races; $59.62 + tax. Talk to Laurie, the manager; and tell her you're racing at Thunder Road. Thanks; Ernie P.

He has alot of axles to build before the Snowbirds(and he is going to the Snowbird),I don't think I can get him to race much in Jan. but I will try.

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and that Santa brought you everything you wanted.

It's getting close enough to start getting a head count for 19T and 4300 Brushless.......so how's in?

oldguy
12-25-2006, 11:38 PM
4300 and stock for me. Maybe I will run 19 instead of stock. Not sure yet. Jamie Hanson

If their is enough for 19 turn count me in I would much rather run 19 turn than stock.

I will run 19t if we can get enough to have a decent class.
I will have to change my work schedule asap.
So how many will run 19T????

JH Racing

Looks like three wanting to run 19 turn so far.

12-29-2006, 07:12 PM
If I can use my Kisby motor count me in for 19t.

Larry I don't mind if you run your Kisbey's.

good question Larry

Ernie P.
12-30-2006, 12:03 AM
We will be using ARCOR rules at the JACO/SMC 2007 Snowflake Oval Classic. And that means no Kisbey 19-Turn motors. Larry; if you need to borrow a motor, talk to me. Thanks; Ernie P.

I have a question on the Arcor rules. I believe now the Arcor rules for 19t is using the ultrabird motor?
Why not just let that be the rule and that would really be a warmup for 19T at the Birds?
Thanks

These are the Birds motor handouts :

11.27.06 - NEW HANDOUT MOTORS FOR 2007
A change in handout motors is coming for 2007! The very popular Komodo Dragon will now be used in the 19 turn road course racing. For oval, the Ultrabirds will still be used in 19 turn classes. We will be handling out the blue CO27 for all stock classes, in road and oval. Now racers will be able to use more of their handouts in other racing events, as most all tracks allow these three in their racing rules. All stock and 19 turn classes include a motor in their entry fee, and extras will be available at the event. We may allow racers to prepay for extra motors online. Stay tuned.

I know I'm treating this event as a Snowbirds warmup and will be running SB motors. Don't care about the person next to me or the potential outcome for me at this event. I respect Ernie's rules and am happy to have an event close to the birds to help me get things dialed before the birds. See you there.

Gary, talked to Ernie today at the track. He would like to do the Ultra Bird 19. Now how many of the racers have them? I am ok with it.

Ernie P.
12-31-2006, 08:08 AM
Thats correct. ARCOR is going to the UltraBird 19-Turn motor soon. So, with all the recent furor, why not just go ahead and make the jump? Thanks; Ernie P.

this race is a snowbirds warmup race and the snow birds are running the ultrabird as well is greeneville at there warmup. just advice EP.... don't mention arcor as a legitimate excuse for any adjustment. Snowbirds has much more leverage as well as any roar events. everybody knows that the ultrabirds suck! but,i would go with exact snowbirds rules since it is a snowbirds warmup race. rule of the masses. but the downside is u have to stockup on ultrabirds for one race. it's a shame they can't come to a conclusion in 19t oval class on a modern 19t blank like all the other classes.... btw brushless is coming. 4300s didn't turn out this weekend in greeneville but they had a class of 13.5, and they were still faster than my record run by a lap or two!

JH Racing
12-31-2006, 04:22 PM
I think I will just run Stock so if this is a warm up race for the birds are you going to do like Greenville and limit the stock motor to CO27'S I think that's what I read.

Go4iT
01-01-2007, 12:12 PM
Friday, the 12th of Jan is practice night... I will be racing just stock, CO27'S only - as in snowbirds rules.

Ernie P.
01-01-2007, 12:37 PM
The UltraBird will be the only motor for 19-Turn. For Stock, any legal ARCOR Stock motor can be run. We will run 4300 and the 13.5 brushless classes, if at least three cars sign up. We already have more 4300's than required, but don't know about the 13.5's. Thanks; Ernie P.

I'm hoping that ARCOR and ROAR stock are the same

Ernie P.
01-01-2007, 10:12 PM
There is a motor normally called the "EPIC ROAR Stock" that is legal for ARCOR. Just make sure the motor has only two magnets. There's a four magnet motor out there that is NOT legal. Thanks; Ernie P.

I'll run CO27 and a low cut body (under 4.25 hgt). I don't care if I get DQ'd, just want the lap time with a SB setup. Thx

I plan on running the CO's. Will have a new Charger mounted up to, I am usually low anyway.

Since so many are using this race as a Snowbirds setup check, I don't plan on teching for roof height. Weight, track clearance, motors, certainly; but not roof height. Thanks; Ernie P.
