View Full Version : Hefty Cells
Sonny B 12-14-2006, 12:22 AM Just want to say thanks to Corey for the years of support and delivering quality packs and service to racers all around the Midwest. Corey doesn’t brag about his success he just keep turning out a quality product.
For me it’s been a great year. I was lucky enough to knock down some wins and break a few track records. Without his help it would not have been possible.
I also want to say congrats to all the Hefty Cells crew who did well at this past weekends BRL race in Green Bay, WI

Stratus54 12-14-2006, 03:07 AM What cell did the Hefty guys run... IB or IP?
Sonny B 12-14-2006, 09:54 AM What cell did the Hefty guys run... IB or IP?
Most ran IB’s. I ran some IP’s in qualifying.
Barooose 12-14-2006, 01:59 PM Sonny, you are so right about Cory. He is always willing to help anyone and never struts around or brags. He stands behind his product as well. I hope I have embarassed him enough. haha.
Corey's numbers are the most honest ones out there. He doesn't do any tricks with the cells to get the numbers up. I have been very happy with his cells for years now. They always run great even on the first run.
Great to see Mike as part of the team. He's been working really hard and its paying off!
Thanks Corey!
i have been using hefty cells for two years and have been extremely happy with their performance.as a matter of fact i dont buy any others now.
Carpet Assasin 12-14-2006, 09:02 PM I've ran Corey's stuff since he first started matching. His cells have put me in the mod A main everywhere I have raced for the past 2+ years! The most honest numbers and consistent numbers out there. Plus he is a great person to deal with and talk to if you have any questions! If you havent tried any cells from him yet... get a pack. You wont be sorry!
Mario
burbs 12-14-2006, 10:27 PM Its true about him not bragging.. the list of national titles and big race finishes and titles is so long, alot of places would have a whole page filled up on there site.. With the acception of a small time last year i have always run his stuff.. I even talked to him before i made the switch, because he has been so good to me.. im not even sponsored by him.. I just know he does the best he can to offer the most honest stuff.. You know he has good stuff when someone who isnt sponsored by him and i talked to him before i switched.. I AM BACK ON HIS STUFF OF COURSE.. IB 4200'S rocked
hefty12 12-15-2006, 07:55 AM Thanks for the kind words guys!
jake86 12-15-2006, 10:36 AM I would like to say thanks to Corey as well. I've been buying batteries from Corey for a couple years as well. And I have had more success with his batteries then any other Matcher. Like Sonny said I have set a few track records and won a LOT of A mains on the local level with Corey's batteries. Keep up the good work Corey. Hope to see everyone at the BRL race in Cinci.

MikeM 12-15-2006, 10:28 PM He won't but I will brag on the guy! His numbers are REAL and run even better on the track! No one in the industry works harder on their product and his cars, great guy and friend.
Mike Makus Sr.
philb1 12-16-2006, 07:59 AM Yup, what they all said. Great guy, let the batts do the talking, consistent performance.
THANK YOU Corey!
Hays Jr 12-16-2006, 11:35 PM Yea, what they all said........Thumbs up for sure!!! Real numbers that RUN. Hes helped me a TON over the years. Always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needs it. Thanks Corey!!
BTW I think Jim will be needing some packs coming up, he hasnt forgotten how to drive thats for sure.
haysreeling 12-17-2006, 12:52 AM 10-4 on all counts!!!!!!!!
OvalTrucker 01-15-2007, 09:26 PM Corey, you have a PM.
Echeconnee 01-15-2007, 10:20 PM I bought my first hefty cells last season, IP3800's. Needless to say all of my cells will be hefty this year. Which are better 42's the IP or the IB?

Corey has been doing the IB's lately and they are killer. I have run them in Mod and lately in stock and they perform every time I charge them. I would say go with the IB's but if you need more info, just drop Corey a Email. Im sure he would be more than happy to tell you what he thinks is better for you!
Mario
I don't think Corey is gonna do the IP 4200's yet. If there is enough interest, I'm sure he will. At this point, he has said he probably won't be matching them for now. The IB's are great though.
Echeconnee 01-16-2007, 09:58 AM Well either way I will be running his cells this year. I can't wait for Daytona!

This is pretty much the reason I'm not matching the IP cells now. They are a good cell, but there just wasn't enough interest.
jake86 03-02-2007, 05:21 PM I thought I would bring this back up to the top.

Carpet Assasin 03-18-2007, 11:18 AM Ran my personal best last night in MOD on packs that were 4 weeks old... Corey has some awesome sticks! If you need some serious punch, give Hefty a call!!!

Hays Jr 03-18-2007, 06:02 PM The new EP cells looked like they ran pretty good yesterday in your rent-a-ride with a TQ and win by 2 laps!!!

Carpet Assasin 03-19-2007, 09:54 AM Thanks big guy! I'm curious to see what you think of the new cells next week.
Im sure I will like them!!! In the past 3 years I have NEVER had a bad pack of batteries from Corey!!!! Actually I never even had a cell vent come to think of it! Whatever way Corey is matching his cells must be the right way, cause they run over and over again!!!
Mario

Hays Jr 03-27-2007, 09:54 AM The new "red" cells from Corey are great on the track! Finish realy strong, right Hays? Jk!
HAHA,
Yes I beleive they do lol. Since we were dead even the whole race and the last 20-30 secs you pulled half a second on me! Nice run the other day, that was some close racing. See you next weekend at Allens.
Hays Jr 03-27-2007, 09:57 AM The new EP cells are great, they seem to carry the times much deeper. We'll have some in stock today as long as they didnt get lost in the mail. 1.225-1.229 range. The IR's are a little lower then the "blue" cells also.

haysreeling 07-22-2007, 09:42 PM Hefty Cells take take top 3 spots in 10.5 & top 2 in the 13.5 classes and were in the cars of the TQ's and were used in many of the faster cars at the BRL Summer Nats at the Triclone this weekend. Great job on the sticks Hefty One!!
pmsimkins 07-23-2007, 11:10 AM Great job to everybody! All of my batteries ran just like the labels said they should, which is the most important thing from a matcher. My previous experiences with batteries purchased elsewhere was if I bought 5 packs 4 of them would cycle like the label said and 1 would be a dog. So far my experience with Hefty Cells is if I buy 5 packs all 5 cycle at the label voltage +.005V per cell. Thanks Corey!
