Are dead to collectors...as are the teds such as I who hunger for them....collected for the only sake of collecting, they are dead....here is a set, pure and driven DEAD...those who collect these are for the most part, in a fantasy world, they can hand this tripe onto their children and hope for the best - yaahoo !! LOL....

they don't seemed to be collected by many today, who knows with time :)
at one time they were the biggest part of lesney's market :)
there were so many basement models made in the seventies and eighties that somebody getting into the yy hobby today might not know what is real and what is fake :(
just about all of the yy i have were purchased off of hal colpitts in lynn Massachusetts, he always like models to be genuine
i used to go to his house on the dead end street in lynn years before he open up harold's place (that place had some cool stuff, especially down stairs) :)

Harold Colpitts was far beyond his times in recognizing the "scorn to the hobby". he reached out many times, at his own expence to criticize purveyors of falsehoods and thier wares...even writing letters as early as Christmas of 1970 alerting certain club faction members to be careful of, and warn them disdain, scorned by some, loved by many....
A top notch collector in my view, and one who loved to share the truth. Heres to Harold....

Yes no longer made but far superior to the garbage put out as today's offering from Mattel. What can you say to a dumper having bling wheels that are meant to represent mags - on a dumpster! Get real and collect stuff that at least looks like the original vehicle -Rhino's - God you could laugh!
