Guy had an amazing body of work, from Joe to Everybody Loves Raymond. His delivery of "Putting on the ritz" in Young Frankenstein never fails to crack me up.

I saw him on "Mind of Mencia" last year and he did not look good. I'm sorry to see him go. He was really talented and versatile.

I always like him, in what ever he did. Remember him in High Noon...I mean Outland.

I loved Boyle in everything I ever saw him in. He could play sleazy, he could play menacing, and he could play very funny. A great journeyman actor.

His IMDb Entry (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001967/)

Dang, another of my favorite actors gone. Aside from the more popular roles he's played over the years, I think my favorite is still as Clyde Bruckman from "The X Files" episode "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose".

"In 1974, Boyle joined Mel Brooks to star as the famous monster in "Young Frankenstein." Boyle reportedly was in full monster make-up for the film when he met his future wife, Rolling Stone reporter Loraine Alterman Boyle."

plus he had an enormous shicklegrouber.

I wonder if she was disappointed when he showed up for the date with his real face.

I loved Joe Bash for the 8 or so episodes that it lasted. Check him out in Tail-Gunner Joe sometime. He's absolutely chilling as Senator Joseph McCarthy.

He could've played almost anything to perfection (I say "almost" because I just can't picture him as Marty McFly or Indiana Jones); a consummate Charactor Actor and real pro! Interestingly, he was a Monk when he was a young man before learning the acting trade.
R.I.P.

i saw the Oprah "going away party" for EL Raymond and when I saw him I realised why they were stopping the show. He was great in that role and Griff's right, that X files episode was excellent.

Actually, you can tell his performance and physical appearance on Everybody Loves Raymond were different after his on-the-set heart attack in 1999. Brilliant actor who improved every film or television episode he was in. Besides, anyone who had John Lennon as the best man in his wedding is okay in my book.

Ditto all the comments and accolades.

Its too bad he won't be around for the premier when Young Frankenstein opens on Broadway...

Its too bad he won't be around for the premier when Young Frankenstein opens on Broadway...Are you kidding? The thought of it is probably what really killed him.
